MrTacomaPrime says:

I plastidipped my rear bumper on my toyota tacoma this weekend, and I have
two sections that are “rough”. The rest of the bumper is smooth. Think I
will have to get some of this thinner and try it out. how far away do you
put the can when you spray?

Richard M Joseph III says:

I plan to PlastiDip my rims black matte. Would the PlastiFip stay intact on
my rims if I were to wash my car twice a month?

ProfessorFatMan says:

Dat left arm doe!

ryan farrar says:

Is there any other way to fix texture problems. I didn’t want it to run so
I sprayed it a little farther away and ended up with texture problems on
every rim. Thanks

Frank Alvarez says:

how long do i wait to wash my rims after i plastidip them

Bunkers101 says:

It’s like sanding but with thinner not sand. lol

007InDaSky says:

what kind of thinner is it, would it damage the finish of the wheel or the
original paint of the car?

Arian Torabi says:

what the fuck, lol why won’t you work out the left arm too. Hahaha that’s
weird

Justin Carr says:

What would happen if you put heat to it? Like from a propane torch, would
it melt or just burn it up?

Tianjiao Xu says:

what is the liquid you use to fix it?

Liquidizings says:

Could I just cover the inflicted areas after the thinner, or do I have to
take my entire tire off m car again and start from scratch like I had to
just – the peeling?

nerofirestorm says:

can i Plastidip my beef whistle for protection?

Qi Huna says:

Really handy tip, thanks!

schoco791 says:

think i could paint my entire house in plasti dip?

Gabbar Singhi says:

Awsome video :-)thxx alot

501Wolf says:

Im not sure if this is already known but i use Tire Shine on my Rims and it
glosses great

WadUpGirll says:

What if you have painted rims such as black? Will this thinner take the
actual paint off or just the plasti dip?

Jebby Deringer says:

So great! I needed to watch this video before last Saturday. Put some more
Plasti-Dip on my wheels stupidly in 30C (90F) weather. I ended up with a
lot of texture issues. I peeled it off the bad wheels and left it on the
good ones. Learned my lesson though.

battistandilus says:

Dude this works good for rims, but not for panels. If you have texture on
say your hood or roof just redo it. Or just leave the texture, if the
texture isn’t bad who cares you don’t really notice it. But spraying xylene
straight over your dip will ruin it. I tried and it left nasty stains. Now
I didn’t use a gun I used a spray bottle I don’t know if that makes any
difference but it didn’t work. And from what I learned when doing the body
of your car you should definitely buy the dip nozzle and spray trigger
trust me it makes a huge difference!! The stock nozzle sucks!! If you don’t
want texture its all technique! Practice makes perfect!! Just my two cents,
thanks peace and good luck!

Mufasa 'Meeks' says:

Nice arms.

Nefarious Rogue says:

What about repairs in larger areas? Like a scratch or tear in the middle of
a fender. You resprayed the whole wheel once you smoothed out the bad bits.
If you just sprayed a large area (but not the whole car) would the finish
match and be un-noticable?

Chris Woodhouse says:

god i need to work out.

adrian saucedo says:

Sounds great on a wheel that was just painted. how about a dirty wheel with
plasti dip on it?, how can you fix that?

Alex Castro says:

its not paint thinner or acetone, its xelyne and vm&p naptha. it wont hurt
your ride because xelyne is used to break down rubbers, leathers and
plastic…. unless you pour this on you dashboard your ride will be ok.
vm&p stand for varnish mix and paint and is used as a paint thinner but
isnt a super strong solvent like acetone so a little spill on your ride
will be as harmful as spilling fuel when you top off your tank.

khriz rodriguez says:

I have a question I was putting gas and it spilled down the body of my car
and it some what messed up my plasti dip of my car how can I fix this?

crash1974lol says:

Helpful, wish I knew about fixing it this way ages ago, would have saved
myself a lot of headaches

Markos Alvarado says:

Can u keep adding coats over time like let’s say I spray my rim today and I
spray more in a week’s time or all the coats have to be done at once?

Keenan Kaufman says:

You should try lifting with your left arm too haha

Carter Garnon says:

Suns out guns out. Dips out nips out.

Ryan Zimmermann says:

Does this work with the metalizers as well?

Travis West says:

I painted my chevy emblems on my 2014 silverado. I have drip marks on the
first one I did because I over-sprayed. Took a lot of time taping it off so
I didn’t want to start over… Just left it as is. Not really noticeable.
My worry here with using thinner… Wouldn’t it ruin the paint or finish
behind the plasti dip? The good thing about this stuff is you can always
peel it off and go back to whatever you had before. But thinner would ruin
it right?

Ian Chesney says:

Ok Fonzie, after fixing the tear on the wheel you said you need to give the
whole rim a good coat not just the tear section; i understand that, but i
have a small tear in the middle of my door lol? now what? thx.

Mad Dox says:

Seems like plasti dip is relying on environmental temperature too. If it’s
too cold the paint seems to be not spraying evenly. Leaves the output
having horribly uneven in texture.

Adam McBride says:

what would i use as an alternative I’m sure that won’t e able to be mailed
to hawaii

jahBlizzy says:

Very helpful bro

79jasetheace says:

So goal was to not to peel it all and start again but we resprayed it all
anyway… Huh?

debodeebs says:

hi someone scraped across my car that is matte black and all down one side
of the car is yellow scrapes, is it possible to repair it and is it easy
enough to do?

cheers

vishnu singh says:

Hey everyone, I have used acetone, it does not bother the original clear
coat.

ahernandez495 says:

U guys sponsor people?

crash1974lol says:

Do you guys ever answers anyone??

Gabor Marton says:

Hi Guys. Can I do the same if it’s happened on the bodywork? Is not damage
the clear coat?
Thanks.

kerry gordon says:

I have a 2005 Dodge ram with these ridiculous 20 inch rims with chrome
plastic wheel covers. I have no idea why Dodge did this. I have dipped my
rims 2 times now and for some reason they are not sticking well. doesnt
last for more then a few weeks before a tear happens. I usually put 5-6
coats of dip on them each with a couple coats of glossifier. any idea how I
can prevent this from happening? Im thinking about just sanding them and
putting a mat black finish on them

coryjage says:

will the thinner work when it starts to bubble?

Gabriel Dipper says:

Hi Fonzie, What if this happen on the bodywork?
Can I do the same without damage the clearcoat?
Thanks mate.

R0CKSTAR023 says:

That fart can was so annoying

brian gray says:

issues

Aaron Coyle says:

Will thinner ruin car paint?
