Used the extra pin from the watch, held it steady, and used a wireless
computer mouse to bang the pins out. LOL thanks!

Thanks for the guide. It helped a lot in getting my newly bought watch
adjusted. I have small wrists, so it took 3 links for me.

Dude you are my best friend. Men have the best watches ever and it sucks
because i can never fit them. I just bought a Batman watch that i cant fit
and it made me want to cry until my uncle found this video. You’re my hero
good sir. My hero.

Thank you so much!!! I live in a small town in Oregon and our only jewelry
store closed over a year ago. I received a watch and the band was way too
big. I took the links out in a few minutes and now I have a watch band that
fits and saved a few dollars to boot!

You can also use a nail clipper if you don’t have pliers to pull out the
pins (if they ever get stuck for some reason).

Myke D says:

Great vid. I used a push pin instead of the paper clip.

You are a prince among men! Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
I’m now enjoying a properly sized watch. In place of the screw driver, I
used a pointed cleaning jag that’s made for .223 rifle barrels. The pointed
pin is about 3/8″ long, and it’s not tapered. It fits the hole perfectly.
The jag is made of good quality solid brass. You could probably use it on a
thousand watch bands before it wears out. You can find them at Dick’s for
about five bucks.

Thanks man, I got a watch for my birthday (The warranty said something
about “Accutime Company”? Anyways I was able to make the band fit
perfectly, I do appreciate link bands more than leather and now finding a
good watch my size isn’t going to be a problem anymore.

Thank you so much for this great video! I needed to fix 3 watches. One
jeweler wanted to charge me $24.99 for each watch! You saved me some
serious money. THANK YOU!!!!

Thanks! Worked well. More specifically, my Mum thanks you.

emerson benner says:

Excellent video. I couldn’t find a tool anywhere that would work and paper
clips were not strong enough to push them out so I went to the sowing
department at wallmart and they had a tool called Bead Reamer Alesoir. The
tool worked perfectly.

Joe Schafer says:

This method is simple and very effective… But it’s a real pain in the ass
when you get a pin that just won’t hardly budge. Once I got enough of the
tip visible, I pulled it out with a small narrow headed set of pliers.

thanks for posting!!
