Ferrari 458 Maxflo Performance Exhaust System

Ferrari 458 Maxflo Performance Exhaust System

In stock form the 458 put down 450HP/316 ft-lbs of torque to the wheels. First order of business was to build an efficient manifold which is a direct replace…

Wilcows says:

But at the second video it sounded best :

Kyle Dziadosz says:

@F14BigAl thats the horsepower at the wheels all horsepower claims are at
the motor the reason why its lower is the loss of power through the drive
train

Crazyglues says:

@RAIDwarDEN No I was not kidding, I really wanted to know, I mean we know a
stock Ferrari 458 goes 0-to-60 in 3 secs.. and does the quarter mile in
11.0 seconds So call me crazy but the video makes is seem like the car is
super fast now.. so I was wondering what the new speeds were, maybe 2.4 or
2.5 zero to sixty Maybe I didn’t word it right but I meant how much .2 or
point 3 seconds does that take off the 0 to 60 time.. so if the stock is
0-60 in 3 does this incredible exhaust make it 2.7?

kayo2110 says:

For my birth day I was bought the old model of the 458 Italia (F430) and I
must say, the F430 is nothing compared to this car!!!

Aure9000 says:

@sumjoe4u 368lbs TQ at the wheels is 446 lbs/TQ at the crank and it’s
99.11lbs/TQ per liter with out being force feed.,!?.,DAMN!!! that’s amazing
they’re is no street car being non turbo/blown that can come even close to
that even with after market intake/exhaust and tuned ECU, Ferrari must have
work very hard on that car to make that capable.

Josef Bock says:

The car/customer is located in Kansas. Fabspeed MSP is located in Fort
Washington, PA.

Scott Martindell says:

@Crazyglues 2 or 3 more seconds faster….? i hope you are kidding.

Rockyall says:

stock sounds better

iXetsuei says:

19% power loss through the drivetrain? Good lord that seems like an awful
lot, is this a dynojet or mustang dyno? Is it SAE corrected?

Josef Bock says:

thank you Domman! Are you local to Philadelphia, PA? We can make a custom
system but we need the Ferrari here at the shop.

Alex K. says:

The 560 HP (570 PS) are brake horse power (bhp), measured directly at the
crankshaft. Effective horse power is measured at the wheels.

Domman56 says:

beauuuuutiful work you guys do I’d love to have a system built for our old
308 GTSi quattrovalve

ahmedbelkady says:

thought it had 562 hp??

Scott Martindell says:

@Crazyglues Oh well .2 and .3 are a huge difference than 2 and 3. I’m not
sure. They got the specifications for a stock 458 labelled incorrectly in
the video by a lot.. I have absolutely no idea. I wouldn’t imagine it would
speed it up by that much. The 0-60 is pretty much all about traction. It
probably accelerates the higher numbers faster though

MarVitZac says:

I’m sorry Ferrari and Automatic Transmission do NOT belong in the same
sentence. But other than that great Exhaust set up.

arielatom03 says:

so is it any faster?

Josef Bock says:

thank you Cartman

Polo Mapanao says:

Was the first video totally stock?

Josef Bock says:

with more power!!

bobedaone says:

I can’t argue with the dyno results for the full kit, but my favorite sound
was headers/cats/stock mufflers. Getting that much additional power out of
what is already a very good design is just phenomenal work!

Claustrophobicshit says:

jesus christ what a sound!

HPaillet says:

@sumjoe4u Yes like a unofficial Scuderia upgrade.

F14BigAl says:

@Dz493 Okay, But I have read magazines were they have dyno ran other
Ferraris, which is the way to get at the wheel power, and they have been
around the manufacturer claim, sometimes above. Surely that is a huge
transmission loss anyway?

Josef Bock says:

Tarturus with the stock exhaust you get more of a high-pitched, raspy note.
With our Maxflo mufflers it cuts down on the rasp and provides a deeper
tone that still screams F1.

Paul Jersey says:

This proves once and for all that my White Trash streak is getting
stronger. I like the sound of my 2011 5.0 Mustang better!

umbertino6 says:

@sumjoe4u Haha! But I haven’t understood about those 518hp to the wheels?
What’s the difference between the ”official” 638hp?

Josef Bock says:

Now we’re talking umbertino!!

Brian Lee says:

That Explorer driver at 0:45 was like WTF????

Josef Bock says:

that’s unbelievable power wouldn’t ya say!!

F14BigAl says:

Only 450hp? Really? Should have done some timed acceleration runs to see if
it was lagging behind Ferrari’s own results, or if it was able to keep up,
and in that case it means that most 458 Italias might be be producing
less-than-claimed hp.

Alessandro Succurro says:

manual is very slow compared to paddles now with dual clutch in todays
exotics Ferrari and Lamborghini were the first and now everyone’s doing it
realizing how much of a difference it makes only cars you’ll see with
manual still today are muscle and now they are starting to have paddle
shifting also that’s why muscle still offers manual because those go hand
in hand but when you think of Ferrari you think of formula 1 and having the
closest experience to it and performance is way better

Dynasty says:

how much is that car??

Josef Bock says:

it’s the shutter speed of the HD camera cuts through the wavelength of the
LED lights.
