Ferrari 456 Common Problems – Accumulators easy replacement video 158693

In this video I show the easy process of changed the faulty accumulators on a Ferrari 456.
Ferrari part number is 158693 currently £483 each plus VAT & Shipping
Its a fairly cheap and easy fix using aftermarket accumulators that are essentially the same exact the mounting bracket which has slightly different size holes.

Part number for the FEBI Bilstein aftermarket accumulators (BMW) is 37211132043 and can easily be found on ebay and the web. Cheapest I found was £74.07 shipped.

The Ferrari 456GT/ GTA, 456M or M GTA can suffer with ride being rough. Normally this is often caused by bad accumulators. Internally, there’s a flexible bladder that ruptures. Because the shock is completely full of oil, the accumulator is needed for oil displaced by the chrome shock rod during bump.

Shocks can actually explode (rupture the aluminum body) due to hydro-lock condition brought on by non-functional accumulators.

How is the reliability on these cars ? Can they be used as daily drivers ? They can be found for low price in the US , but the whole thing scares me . Thank's for a good video ..

You need to support the car on a jack stand. Don't rely on the jack alone
