Agree, that’s why my personal 360 is a manual gated transmission. However
on a race track the F1 is the way to go, just can’t compete with technology.

dgeary11 says:

thats still pretty sweet

啓司 鈴木 says:

How did you set up the PIS?

Everette Singleton says:

i saw a 355 today and it was in pieces. that broke my heart , tires worn
out and body damage. ppl really don’t take care of there cars. ugh

mrpcar says:

I hate that ice cream truck, comes through my neighborhood everyday like
clock work, and the songs they play is super annoying.

dgeary11 says:

is this your car?

96Rolla says:

is it just me or is that speedometer not working?

TheFrostyDealer says:

@kujotk F1 Paddles are perfect for women. In a sports car a manual is the
ONLY way to go. High performance cars like the Veyron don’t need it either,
but I could see more reason in one. How did you get two 360s though?

mrpcar says:

No, this 360 coupe belongs to a friend, I have a red 360 spider.

logwind says:

Haha, I like the ice cream truck blaring.

Everette Singleton says:

yea i can see what u mean

mrpcar says:

this was the 1st test drive, engine was cold brand new clutch….

mrpcar says:

@kujotk – I agree the F1 is a great invention but way too many incidences
of leaving drive stranded somewhere. It is not fool proof technology even
if the car is maintained and service regularly. Personally I would never
use the auto mode on the F1, it eats up clutch faster than anything.

Everette Singleton says:

I am not a fan of the F1 transmission , driving a manual is like making
love. with the F1 a computer is helping u work the transmission which gives
a lack of feel. a manual is all u baby the feel through your fingers tells
the car how to respond. when i am making love i don’t need any ones help,
thank you

mrpcar says:

@kujotk the reason why it drops to neutral is for safety issue, nothing to
do with clutch wear. Trust me, Ferrari is the last person in this world to
worry about your clutch wear. After all the more clutch you wear out the
more money they make. In Neutral the thrust bearing is engaged, so the
clutch plate is not touching anything so no wear. “normal” standard cars’
the throw out bearing only spins when the clutch is depressed, so in
neutral it does save thrust bearing wear.

shadowbillyphone says:

Before owning my 360 Spider F1, i thought this video was lame and boring as
i don’t see any tire smoke, high revving action. Now, I’m amazed by how
good and smooth the gears engaged. Was it in sport mode? Because gears
engaged pretty fast in low revs too. Just drove mine yesterday and finds
that it doesn’t engage as quickly or smoothly as yours in normal mode. In
sport mode, gear change was more aggressive but I don’t think it is as fast
as yours.

mrpcar says:

@kujotk – the 360 thrust bearing design is always spinning, so doesn’t
matter if it is left in neutral or in gear. If you take one apart and see
the design you will understand. This is another myth too, everyone things
putting it in 1st gear will save clutch, not in Ferrari’s case.

mrpcar says:

There are still some techniques required in driving the F1, the only wear
on the clutch really happens on take off from standing still which can be
adjusted with the PIS setting. Overall if you don’t get stuck in traffic
all the time the F1 works fairly well. The real benefit is on the track or
spirited driving. That’s why I bought a manual transmission car for myself.
LOL!

mrpcar says:

Unfortunately we can’t, that still require the SD2 hook up. So basically
you go to a shop with a SD2 hook it up to read the pre-clutch change clutch
reading and then after the clutch is changed get the car back to the shop
to adjust the PIS with the SD2. Basically we just demonstrated that it is
possible to change the F1 on your own without the SD2 to bleed the thrust
bearing to get the car to work.

mrpcar says:

@kujotk – You still can’t avoid the SD2 or 3, because you will have to get
a SD2 reading on the clutch prior to replacement record the numbers and
then adjust new PIS with a SD2 once the new clutch is installed. The
purpose of the video was to demonstrate the ability to change the clutch,
bleed the thrust bearing without a SD2. The car then can be driven to a
shop with a SD2 for the adjustment immediately after. The clutch slip was
minimal immediately after the clutch replacement.

Rich Cunts! :L

jldmotocross says:

cmon, hammer down on that, dont shift at 4000rpm

James T Kirk says:

you always hear that light throttle shifts and around town driving is rough
with the f1 transmission in the 360 but those seemed very smooth…. your
thoughts? and computer reprogramming? i saw what you mentioned in the
description why do they say that? whats behind those claims?

mrpcar says:

It is working, I think the 360 speedo starts off at 10mph that’s why when
we were moving slowly it didn’t show.
