As a materials engineer I detect there has to be a trick here. How can u
deform the panel that much and return it back to its original shape and
size. I bet it u videod the car before the dent, then dented it, and
“repaired” the dent, and then original video is shown as the finished
video. U CANNOT permanently deform a material without having to cut it back
and filling it in with fillers and then painting it. Do not believe
everything u see, people can do anything with a video camera
Excelent Job can you explain the technique of taping the Small dents for
correction, is this done taping around the dents? or you tap down to
correct small lumps thank you!
it’s real, but I see in the finished product a ton of ripples still in
their, a good pdr guy doesn’t need to wetsand down his high spots and buff.
this is not a good example of good pdr work, this was a get in get out job
obviously
Not a bad repair but not close to 100%. If you look at the white part of
the reflection, on the adjacent car trunk lid/boot from 4:27-4-32, you can
clearly see waves in the repair.
That was a large dent and not a bad repair but with more time and effort,
it could have been repaired better. It really all comes down to what the
customer wants to pay for. If customer wants to spend $250-300 this could
have been done to near 100% vs the 80-90% like in the video.
Kudos for taking this job on, most pdr techs would turn this down as it was
for sure stretched and maybe the paint stressed(spider cracks ) as well.
Yes it was not a perfect repair but no pdr shop would have guaranteed
that. Hope you got paid well!
I’ve used his services in the past, he is a perfectionist and did a
fantastic job. I can guarantee you there would have been 0 dents left on
that Mini once he was finished.

I see no comments here from F1Dents ?????????????????????
Mini coopers must be made of plastic? Would this work on a steel door?
Not perfect, but good. In the middle of arc you can see a slight bumping
Great PDR job.
tapping on the metal with the hammer doesnt do anything
Wow impressive
FYI this video was made with special effects…
Its fake…
He has gray hair not brown…
no way does a materials engineer not know about metal memory.
Nice repair, and as good as it had to be. I love reading the comments that
say this is impossible.
Maybe it is impossible, I guess we’ll never know.?? :0)
Nice work. Now teach me! Haha
What tools do I need besides a heat gun and a flat head hammer?
it’s real, but I see in the finished product a ton of ripples still in
