I installed a new strut assembly that I bought online. Just over a year later about 25 000 miles the strut mount broke which I hear is a common problem with online purchases of strut assemblies….

Sure wish you had video of the strut replacement itself. There does not
seem to be another on You Tube for the Intrepid.

I too am in the process of front strut replacement (dodge intrepid ’99
2.7)….the factory shop manual is very adamant about the strut mounts .
there are 2 different ones – right & left ( L = 04782019AB , R = 04782018AB
) …my online struts arrived with driver side strut mounts on both of
them…the factory manual in bold letters says don’t use the left on
passenger side and vice versa and listed many nasty things that may happen..
Hey Dale..thanks for this great video. I NEED to replace the REAR struts on
my wifes 2000 Intrepid. DO you have a DIY video on how to do those??? I
bought the strut/spring kits..so I don’t have to compress the old springs
and do all that garbage. Any help would be awesome.
