@shaunfunderburk2636 says:

Bro I literally did the same exact thing as he just did and I was having the same problem. Coolant was leaking at an alarming rate even worse after I only replaced the gasket

@Michael-B41 says:

thats why just replace the pump in first place

Both sides of the new gasket need Permatex high tack gasket sealant.

Im working on this in my 1998 5.9 and i saw someone else recomend a timing chain and gasket replacement while doing the water pump on another video, and i decided to go for it, my timing chain was very loose and is only like 6 more botls away, so im glad i went for it

@jorymitchell1155 says:

As many have said… Your pump is out. It's designed to leak from the weep hole. It's to let you know it's time to change the water pump.

Water pumps lake when they go bad

@morfdq says:

3 dollars got you doing the job twice and replacing the water pump like you should’ve done from the beginning

@TheAplhabeta says:

That’ll be the weep hole on your water pump bud, should’ve just put a new water pump on from the beginning

@blackquiver says:

More vids of this..

@RogerSegerJr says:

That's what we call "water pump weeping". That requires a pump replacement. I also tell my customers to replace thermostat at the same time as well.

@jasonjackson7154 says:

that's a water pump bad man, needs to be replaced

@jeffreywoodbury2904 says:

Did you put a new pump?

@davidarnold4475 says:

Water pump failure not gasket failure. The seal on the shaft has failed probably from a failed bearing.

@TheAirsoftkidd says:

$60 is the cost for not doing the labor twice… sounds cheap to me

@shitalkingoon says:

Sometimes your time is worth more lol
