This worked perfectly. I just finished replacing the upper and lower ball
joints on my 03 RT CC Dakota. Thanks a bunch for posting this video.

I used drill bits bought at Lowes for like $20? They have a tip that
doesn’t require a center punch. I don’t remember if I drilled a pilot hole
or not. I probably did.

It’s a Dodge. Pretty sure their “engineers” get their kicks from thinking
how hard it will be to do it. One of the reasons they’re always having to
be bailed out, stupid fools run the company. Only saving grace is the
Cummins, otherwise not too many people would buy the Ram trucks.

Tnks it helps a lot 🙂

I’m surprised they used rivets rather than bolts — it doesn’t seem to be
much less work at the assembly stage, but the repair stage is a lot worse.
Say, I forgot you were in Kona. I had a chance to visit your fine city last
week — what a place to live!

Thanks for visiting, it’s definitely a trickle down economy here.

Thank you for posting this, I never dreamed this would work. You saved me
alot of time, I had already chiseled, mushroomed both sides and this still
worked!

Aaron Roberson says:

Just curious exactly the kind of drill bit that you used to screw into
those rivets? Did you use a center punch or smaller bit to line the hole up
properly?

My pleasure.
