my mom had the plug changed and i just pulled it off again and saw that something is making it hot again cause i see the plug has gotten warm again and a small portion has started to melt on the plug. also she had the switch changed to i just found out that the switch was purchased at a wrecking yard so that could be a reason. are there any other reasons that could cause this problem.

Check the wiring and plug end on the switch to see if it’s melted or needs to be repaired due to excessive heat. Usually a bad headlight switch or a loose ground will cause this to happen.1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Yes my mom has a 1996 dodge ram truck 1500 she is having problems with her headlights at night after she turn them on they work fine for about 20 to 30 minutes then they start blinking on and off if she pull over on the side of the road and turn them off and wait about 30 seconds she can turn them back on but they will start backing shutting on and off after about a minute of turning them back on.she changed the switch and it worked for a while now its back doing the same thing whats the problem
Is that a difficult thing to fix?

You may want to check the circuit for a short somewhere. It sounds like you may want to check the door jamb switch and also the headlight switch to see if either of them need to be replaced. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Im hoping you can help I have 2002 Durango and im having my driver side headlight flash on its own even with switch off. sometimes it goes out but then comes on when the door chime comes on with the dimmer switch .. also flickers while dimmer switch is at lowest position. weather key is in or not, its always flickering. lights dont even need to be on for this to happen. I checked all wires to and from. is it possible the headlight and dimmer switch may be the cause of this.

My headlight switch the plunger pulled out, I put it back it, but it always come out. If I buy the replacement part, will that fix it? Or do I need a new plunger?

FYI. I have a completely different switch set up for my headlights. Mine turns and the fog light switch is part of the headlight switch. Saying that, thanks for the video. You have helped me a great bit with your videos.
The headlight switch replacement is the same concept but it is a different method to get the switch out.
So its basically the same install though?
