You may want to check the fuse to see if it’s good and that there’s power
to the AC switch. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

I have a 2003 dodge durango and the problem is that when you turn the knob
to turn on the ac or heat nothing happens. Would that be a time where you
would replace the blower motor or could that be a different problem?

Hello there ! my question is .what did the truck do when A/C motor wasn’t
working? or How did you find out that motor wasn’t working? I have a 99
Durango that blows hot air up the dash ,even I changed to blow right to the
face . its kind of crazy ,because the A/C in the back works perfect,,, any
ideas will help thank you so much

1A Auto Parts says:

There could be an issue with the blend door not letting the cool air out of
the other vents possibly. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

1A Auto Parts says:

Many times when the blower resistor starts to go bad you’ll start to loose
the lower speed settings. If it’s the blower motor you may experience an
intermittent on/off situation or the blower motor may not start when the
switch is turned on. If there is nothing coming out with the motor turned
on, you may want to test the power going to the blower motor with a test
light. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

How do you tell if you you need a new blower motor or a blower motor
resistor?

1A Auto Parts says:

You can re-use the screws that came out of the old blower motor.Hope this
helps you out 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

We currently only have a repair video on the 04-09 Durango Blower motor
fan. However there should only be three bolts that hold your 98 blower
motor in place. It should be located on the passenger side under the glove
box. We carry the replacement one for your truck on our website 1aauto.com

Hey ya’ll need to a video for 02 durango Heater /AC motor replacement , or
is it the same for the ram for the same year..

Steven Gable says:

Hey thanks for the video. It helped me out a lot. At least it showed me how
to pull out my blower motor out of my ’04 Dakota and hook it directly to
the battery to see if it kicks on. It did. I guess I don’t have to buy a
new blower motor. I put it back in but this helped me find out my blower
motor still works. Thanks! It’s gotta be the resistor.

feau amiga says:

can you put the same video on a durango 98

Dave Mercado says:

My blower stopped working. It showed now signs of going out. It stopped at
once when starting the truck. It was set to full when I started the truck,
then went out at once. I replaced the resistor but this didn’t fix my fan
problem. Now I have removed the fan as you show here. Should I have it
tested before I buy a new one? Also the heat and ac still work. Checked all
fuses too.

Steve Smith says:

Hi i dont see any cabin filter on 01 dodge dakota 4.7 motor what can i do
to add one

1A Auto Parts says:

We currently do not have an auto repair video for this particular
application. There should only be three bolts that hold it in place. We do
carry a replacement heater blower motor for your application on our website

1A Auto Parts says:

If your motor stopped blowing, you can test the electrical connection to
see if you are getting the correct voltage to the motor. If the voltage is
correct for each setting, then the issue could very well be the blower
motor itself

Steven Gable says:

Would this be the same as the 2004 Dodge Dakota? Looking under the glove
box it looks very simmilar.

Alexey Gavrilov says:

in this case it was easy… sometimes the whole dash need to me de
addressable to get access to blower fan motor..

breccmo says:

few minutes, either way thanks for the vid , saved me money!
