Great video! Did both sides in 20 minutes with this video. Doing rear set as soon as I hear them squeaking.

The rears are the same for vehicles with disc brakes.

Another great video Mike! I tell all my friends about your online auto parts business.

1aauto says:

Everything should break free as shown in the video. You could try to post in a Dodge Ram forum for your truck to see if any of the members have encountered the same issue that you are having, but that should come right out for you.

benjamin stevens says:

watched the video and easily changes the hub on the passenger side of my 02 ram with parts i bought from you…..hubs come in pairs so i prepared the drivers side. long stoy short i cant break the drivers side axle free. i even uses a 1 1/2 steel bar 4ft long with a logging trailer post from a big rig for leverage and pried against the lower control arm bracket!!! i’m surprised the axle ect didn’t blow out the pumpkin. what should i do?

We currently do not have a video that shows you how to do this. We’ll keep this request in mind in the event that we make this repair in the future.

These are by far the best automotive DIY videos out there. They’ve saved me some serious coin.

1aauto says:

Sometimes they can be pretty stubborn to get off.

1aauto says:

You don’t need to bleed the brakes unless the brake pedal is extremely hard or really soft. Bleeding them would help to relieve any air that could be trapped in the line. You do not need the remove the brake fluid reservoir cap, while putting the new pads on.

Thanks for the video. saved me lots of money. thanks again

I’m replacing the front brake pads on a 2006 Dodge Ram. One of the brake pistons went in smoothly, but the other one extended and I couldn’t push it back in. After pressing on the brakes, I managed to get both pistons in, but the rubber seal around the pistons is not folding into the cylinder correctly. Any tips on what I should do?

Thanks for your help with this video, it was very helpful, one question though, should I re tighten the lid on the brake fluid reservoir? Just kidding, thanks again.
