Would it be the same for a 2012 ram???

I had a check engine light come on my 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L. Then went to put gas in tank and it took forever have to trickle it in. The light eventually went out but still takes forever to pump gas. Scanner revealed the evap was the cause of the light and am told since I am always topping gas off I overfill it and gas got into the charcoal cannister. Am told I need a new one. I take it that will cause the issue? I see different ones not sure which one to purchase. It looks like the one in the video ones I see do not have the top rubber hose. It’s a stock item. Help?

Hi there what is that white piece that the hose connects to?

Chris Brindell-Watt says:

Thanks for showing the canister. It takes me 15 minutes to fill up the tank because the air is not l aging the tank as I fill it with gas so it bubbles up and shuts down the pump. I have to fuel sooo slowly. Which line from the canister goes to the fill tube. Maybe one of the lines is clogged? Thanks

What is the small hose that is connected to the evap canister called? You can see it best at 1:28 at the bottom half of the screen.
