stereopolice says:

I solved my entire death wobble by purchasing a new truck.

John Paulson says:

If you find the track bar, ball joints, tie rods, stabilizer links, wheel
bearings loose enough to cause a death wobble, you definitely aren’t
maintaining your vehicle properly. Don’t let those components get that
loose. If you don’t know what you are doing, seek professional advice.

collykid50 says:

Hey man by any chance do you remember what size socket you used to remove
the sway bar link bolts to get the bushings out? Thanks

Joshua Bushared says:

In a Jeep, the death wobble stops when you stop driving.

MARC MARIEN says:

No the sway bar won’t cause the problem , also didn’t hear you say one word
about checking the caster or lack of it.
Don’t forget the condition of the tires too.

alan jackson says:

The sway bar will not cause death wobble.

Pwnyboy90 says:

I’ve had the death wobble for a while in my truck. Replaced steering
stabilizer (Hit a hog on lease road and completely tore it up) then the
track bar. Track bar bushings were pretty tore up.. Afterwards it did
pretty well for a few solid months, but it has returned. I should have
known better than to just change the track bar! It’s probably several other
things and the track bar bushings may be blown again. Thanks for the
helpful video, I’m about to get under the truck right now!

Malomex13 says:

to me and it freaked me the hell out….. Damn near killed myself going
80mph…. Now I know where to start…. Thanks again….

Jim Brierley says:

I just replaced the steering stabilizer on 2009 wrangler made it worse, I
had some vibration thought stabilizer would take care of I got out on
highway at 60 freakin near had a heart attack I never had this before
thinking of putting old one back on.

Clint Lambert says:

I found 2 loose 19mm bolts connected to the steering track above the small
steering arm.

Joe Bloe says:

Death Wobble is caused by the Ball Joints. Replace Both on both sides.
Problem Solved. Happens mostly on Wranglers. End of story.

Mroldthoughts says:

NTG in El Cajon CA. has been leading the way in fixing this problem.
Fixed mine.

Daniel Hansen says:

My 2003 Dodge 2500 4×4, Changed uppers and lowers, New tie rod ends, New
steering stabilizer, Added the aftermarket plate that secures both frame
legs to the pitman. New track bar. Added a heavier steering stabilizer by
rancho and after all of this I still have the death wobble. After reading
the posts below the only thing I have left to change would be my
tires?????? Or could I be missing something else?

Michelle Dalbey says:

My dad put a steering stabilizer on my jeep grand Cherokee 96 and it’s fine
for NOW…we will see

Zachary Wilcox says:

I have a 06 ram 1500 mega cab with 72,000 miles on it and have a horrible

Donald Imboden says:

All I can say as a “regular everyday wrencher” thank you this was killer
info and easily understood.

switch from y design steering to true drag link with full length tie rod
and steering stabilizer and check trac bar

Joe Bloe says:

Nothing like an air leak to ruin a video.

Sm00gle says:

forgot to mention the steering stabilizer could be another cause for death
wobble

welderman27 says:

nice video I have a 1998 jeep wrangler and i am experiencing this death
wobble. I’m gonna go see if i can get a friend to do what your friend did

sycobilly1369 says:

i have 98 ram 1500 had the death wobble needed steering box both wheel
bearings track bar ball joints tire rod ends drag link changed the 35″ tsl
sx tires out to 285 75r 16 firestone m/t fixed it for now but nothing last
forever ! death wobble was so bad it snapped the drop bracket in half so
the combination of wore out steering components and heavy tires did it in

Foreseeable1 says:

Ball joints grab the tire at 12 and 6 o’clock, tie rods, 3 and 9. That’s
how I learned it.

Mike Hartrumph says:

I had death wobble. Replaced my steering to the 08.5+ and it didn’t fix it.
Got a new track bar.. didn’t fix it. Got rid of my BFG AT tires – no more
death wobble. Come to find out, The BFG tires are a main cause of this
after say 40% tread life. The D rated tires are too soft. I didn’t know
this! Google ‘carli death wobble’ and there is a great article on what to
look for! Great video!

PyroZippy says:

That was a waste of time mr knows what the problem is and never finished
the video .so he says he knows what the problem is so i guess you couldn’t
fix it cause you never did another video of the so called fixed problem
