will check that first. Thanks for the info!

Carlos Ponce says:

My a/c blower motor of my dodge caravan 98 star humming and noticed that
the speed of the blower was reduced than normally when i set it up
regularly, but one day dint work at all, but next day it work back again but
very slow,do you think that could be the the blower motor resistor or the
motor blower? Thanks Steve and nice video !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

steve45ca says:

I don’t believe so, only the blower would be my guess.

sezamestreetey says:

Awesome! Super easy, there is a resistor for the rear blower, also, is that
near the rear blower in the back driver’s quarter panel?

bobbyyy007 says:

finally it wasnt the relay at all, im gonna have to replace the blower i
think

NA Carter says:

EXCELLENT! And, I wish you much success in life.

steve45ca says:

Then the blower probably needs to be replaced as well. Many people in the
dodge forums report having to replace both the resistor and blower motor

bobbyyy007 says:

and what if it dont work AT ALL?

bmorern1970 says:

Michael Walters says:

Wow! Steve…U R the Best. I saved money watching your channel. I changed
my fuel injectors in My Caravan 1 month ago and I will changing my blower
resistor today…Do you do any work on Ford Excursions? That’s next next
family vehicle.

sezamestreetey says:

I saw a youtube video where its in the right rear liftgate panel, I can
video when I get around to it, Autozone didn’t even have the part so I’m
not to worried about the back yet. They are only 20 bucks down here in
Phoenix, AZ

saturn2462002 says:

How do you know whether its the resistor or the blower motor itself? I had
intermittent problems (worked on some speeds but not all) now it has quit
completely.

steve45ca says:

I’m not sure where the rear one is. My van isnt equipped with rear heaters
but thats quite possibly where it is

yung skrill says:

Your screwed lol! Steve your too cool buddy!! I owe you for your videos.. I
also have o 2002 caravan SE w/ the same problems. Bless u brother

steve45ca says:

if the air flow was reduced, i’d think it would be the blower. When the
resistor goes for the fan speed, it’s like a fuse… when it’s gone, it
gone while the blower may work at a reduced speed…. maybe the bearings
are going in the blower motor hence the reduced air flow and humming

Nelson Ramirez says:

Steve, does that also control the recycle air button? Do you know?

Offtapbrewing says:

Cheers Steve !

chance9050 says:

Same problem with a chevy avalanche. However I have the added problem of
water from the ac condensor dripping behind my dash and frying the blower
too. Thats an added $100 as soon as i clear the drain. Nice job!

steve45ca says:

hopefully you can find a video on replacing the blower

dominator123324 says:

Thanks

steve45ca says:

If some were working but others were not, it was most likely the resistor.
However I’ve read on the Dodge forums, both can go at the same time.
