Keith this was awesome. THANX-A-MILLION…made this job one helluva lot
easier
I’d HIGHLY recommend changing the short bypass hose from the water pump,
while you’re in this far. Gotta do all the same stuff to change it if/when
it fails. My Jeep 5.2L eats a water pump every 3-4 years, and the hoses,
thermostat & serpentine are a part of the job.
Nice vid.I gotta tell ya tho, workin on that thermo looks like a bitch! you
seemed pretty calm tho! I just bought an old Dodge B250 with the 5.2 318. I
haven’t dug into her yet so I dont know if it’s the same set up.Guess I’ll
find out soon enough!
How much coolant did you have to add when finished?
Nevermind. Watch a little bit more and you learn everything. Haha
Can you just pivot the alternator out of the way?
don’t need to remove the compressor
If you didn’t replace the bypass hose while you had everything taken apart,
you are a fool. You don’t really want to go through all that work again to
replace the bypass hose do you. I found the video to be very informative.
It helped me a great deal. Thank you very much.

I’m very glad my videos are helping someone.
This video was very helpful because it allowed me to be aware of the
procedures that are involved in removing the thermostat. Thanks a lot.
Enjoyed the video! I subscribed! You can also unscrew JUST the
alternator/compressor bracket and the alternator and bracket come off as
one big piece. 🙂 I have the same car.
great video thanks for the info
