Hi, Did you fill the cooling system from that valve and then start the
truck? Or is the valve there just to fill the cooling system. OR did you
fill it regularly then crack that bleeder valve ?

This makes perfect sense!! My 94 Ram does the exact same thing! Fluid
gurgling, and after 20 mins of highway driving, it’s still just lukewarm.
Then if I turn the blower up at all, it gets cold! I’ve installed a new
water pump and thermostat so I’m pretty sure it’s not those. Im going to
try flushing the heater core and installing your valve. You said flush it
backwards right? I can’t wait to try this. I’ll keep you posted on my
results. In the mean time, thank you so much for shedding some light on
this aggravating issue.
what causes steam or smoke come out of the vents of a 1999 dodge ram 1500,

I had to do the heater core replacement. it was awful!!! i didnt on the 10
degree day “Fahrenheit” 8 hrs one person. I had to sawzall the existing
copper lines off. it was a nightmare lol. everything apart and lines sawed
cant just (ohhwel… ) lol

First off nice truck i have a 97 you should switch the mirrors out for the
98 but my question is will this fix a lack of coolant circulation through
the system of should i try another fix any help would be much appreciated
especially since winter is here
hi stephen, if the lack of coolant circulation is due to air in the coolant
lines this fix will help you. if it is because of a clogged up heater core
or a faulty water pump it wont. but it is always good to have the cooling
lines filled with coolant to the top. first i would do a coolant flush and
attach a garden hose to the heater core (backwards) to flush it out. then
refill to the top and then see if you still have a poor circulation. good

Yes so far this worked great. And whenever i am flushing and refilling the
cooling system its no big deal to get the air out. I might get one of those
no-spill funnels that i saw in your video. Its a great idea, thanks for

That’s a creative idea to solve the problem of trapped air. I usually just
use a no-spill funnel, and put the engine through a cycle of heat cool with
the funnel in place. But this worked for you! If you are interested, feel
