Put mine on for the first time, The engine runs a tad warmer, not much but it does seem to retain more heat under the hood with the block heater plugged in.

I use grill cover by Fia on gas truck and helps big time.
Is this because poor heat? I have 2016 3500 gas and heater is cool.

Hey great vid! I went to install my cover today and all my plastic tabs had holes already. Even the tabs that don’t apply to the cover had holes. I guess I got lucky.
Thanks for the video – it helped a lot! I had to go and purchase the 5 male button studs but no big deal. Also, just in case anyone wants to know, the button studs you'll need are #8 x 5/8" tapping screw. They're available at most marine supply stores.
There are clips on the bottom of the cover that you missed.
I just purchased the same cover on ebay for a steal of a deal and come to find out, it didnt come with those snap screws. What size are the heads of those screws?
At what temp would recommend using one of these?
What about opening the 4 extra flaps?
What temps too warm?

Nice detail on the snaps. Did your cover come with the snaps? I bought my 2013 truck used and the previous owner never installed the winter cover but I can not find the hardware in the truck?
