John Hein says:

To prevent cross-threading the plug use a short piece of plastic or rubber
tubing that fits tightly over the tip of the plug. When the plug gets
threaded you should be able to tighten and loosen it freely. If it is
cross-threaded it will be very tight and you won’t be able to tighten.

Would it be easier to remove brake booster ?

troy j says:

How hard are back two on drivers side ?!?

dakotamar says:

no problem, I did the O2 sensor on this truck and didn’t think to record
it. The other one needs changing now, so maybe I will put that up next.

teamflaco1 says:

wish you would of had someone recording you take out and install the plugs

Thanks for posting this video.

dakotamar says:

I am 6’1″ tall, I may have put a small step stool beside the truck to stand
on, but I don’t think I needed anything. I just leaned over the front
fender and reached in. I also kneeled on the front bumper when reaching in.
reaching the plugs required a lot of feeling for the right spot to put the
socket on, it was very hard to see the back plugs, most of it was by touch.

dakotamar says:

i just bought the second cheapest plugs at canadian tire. They were
Champion plugs.

3006USMC says:

What plug do u reccomend, i dont wanna do this very often.? I get different
answers

dakotamar says:

it was just alot of bending and grunting to get into the plug area. the
back ones were the most difficult requiring different length socket tools
to get at them

OVI-Wan Kenobi says:

How do you physically reach the spark plugs in the very back? Do you have
to physically climb into the engine compartment? Or is there a way to reach
it from standing on ladder from the outer edge of the vehicle?
