I have the exact same dodge neon and I would just like to know if I want to
change my stereo, would any stereo work for a dodge neon?

Ivan Karamazov says:

Thanks for the tip, friend.

Bob Eckert says:

Could you show me how to do one on a 1995 Neon? One of my neons has the
am/fm stereo with cassette and the other is am/fm with single cd player?

Bob Eckert says:

Thank you very much Rich! 🙂 I personally have one of the first 95 neon
sport coupe with the excellent 5-speed and and despite have taken excellent
care, the radio has pooped out and I’m looking for a place that can repair
it or replace it. The other one is a white 4-door sport sedan automatic
with white (!) alloy wheels just like mine but white, looks sharp and it
was only done to dealer program cars. That radio is the cassette am/fm and
you turn it on and it sounds great and then the sound fades to silence,
clock works in both radios. I may be a kook but I love the neon. If you
take good care of them since birth, they last a long time and are really
run to drive. Terrific engine once it got over some initial teething pains
(gaskets and seals), but Chrysler was aok with me about fixing that and
both engines purr.

xoxthisismyrevenge says:

mine has a 6 disc changer as well does anyone know if that works
independently or will it stop working if i replace the radio with an
aftermarket one

rubencas83 says:

Thank you richpin06a! I’ve done this before years ago but I lost the
written instructions. This video was a time saver! I have a 2004 dodge neon
sxt and the instructions were right on point! Thanks again.

BufDog14 says:

Great video. Thanks for sharing the knowledge

binnsh says:

My first step, when I remove a radio, is to break a window. Be sure to
check for other goodies in the glove box.

mobes329 says:

Nice video. Were you out at the junk yard ?

Recluse says:

And thanks for this very nice 🙂

Skyefuego says:

What’s the name of the tool that you used to the vents and antenna?

Big Al Kirk says:

Saved me £180

Ale Murillo says:

“One..two…three…four. Four Phillip’s screws.”

richpin06a says:

I don’t but there are still a lot of them on the road that might benefit
from this video.

richpin06a says:

As long as i help just one person like yourself i feel it was world doing
the video.

richpin06a says:

I have never installed a satellite radio so I do not know if you need a
different antenna.

richpin06a says:

Good to know thank you telling us that.

Recluse says:

What is the negative battery cable from the battery?

richpin06a says:

That is a panel remover.

mikez565 says:

What’s funny is that I have the same exact same car, including the color!
2005 dodge neon sxt 2.0 I feel spoiled having these videos for my car. 🙂

richpin06a says:

You better go out to your car right away and check because it might be your
radio i took out….lol.

LordOfNothingham says:

I was looking to put a dodge factory radio with sirius in my caliber. Any
idea if I’d need to run an additional antenna for the satellite radio or
would it run off the existing antenna?

kphillips55 says:

Awesome. Great video

bestmastermind951 says:

EASY! if only the timing belt was the same!

richpin06a says:

00-05 should be the same.

richpin06a says:

It is the cable that goes from the battery to the chassis of the vehicle.

Lladee Kb says:

Is it the same steps on a 2001?

GammaCruxis says:

That would apply if we knew the reason why he was taking it out. Or do you
know something we don’t…?

John Wilkerson says:

I wish it was that easy for my 2001 Saturn SW2. Got stuck with a crappy
aftermarket stereo in mine.
