John Harkey says:

I followed your video to replace the Dakota transfer case. The drive
shafts came out quick and easy. The transfer case separated easily from
the transmission. Dropping the transfer case took hours and your video
does not show you doing it. There is a heavily welded frame cross-member
under the rear of the transfer case which makes it difficult to push the
transfer case forward and rotate. The repair manual sais the cross-member
can be removed to help drop the transfer case. The member is heavily
welded to both sides of the frame so it does not come out. It would have
been nice to see how you actually maneuvered and dropped the transfer
case…still I’m glad for your video, thanks.
