Had to re-watch this early video.. I think the newer ones are much better
quality. The pulley on that truck was a bolt on as described around 5:12.
Not a press on.
@xriffingXirishXguyx Neither did I, I guess there is a pneumatic wrench for
taking off the fan clutch. The way I did it was the total pain in the ass
way. lol
after removing the wate rpump mounting bolts, how did you actually get the
pump off? The pump seems to be frozen to the block on my dakota. Also cant
seem to remove fan clutch assembly from water pump while pump is still in
the vehicle much like yours.
@7lovestory7 I found out later the is a special pneumatic tool for removing
the fan. Double check that you got all the bolts and have the hose
disconnected then it should come off with little effort.
help please? my truck is a ’94 and i think its the same as yours. when i
talked to the parts store, they want to know if i have a ‘press-on
pulley’…….do you know what this is and how i find out if mine is or
not? i would like to change the water pump out myself. TIA kevin
excellent! i sure appreciate you and hey, thanks for the quick reply…i’ll
stay tuned.
i guess it is the perfect timing to watch this video because my 95 blew it
water pump today
Very informative video. It helped me confirm that I’m going to have a shop
do the R/R rather than take it on myself.
