If you want your stock 20″ alloy wheels to look like that — those are just
stock 20″ with plasti dip.
You can buy a product called Plasti Dip from Home Depot in flat black for
$6.00 a can. Takes about 4 cans and make sure you research how to properly
coat it on. Your stock 20″ alloy wheels will look exactly the same.
shocks don’t add lift Pete Cochikas
Pro comp pro runner shocks would of been a better choice and pro comp
shocks in the rear if you want a good even level
thanks for the video. really dont like how it looks tho. i am going 6 inch
lift all the way
How often do u have to replace them? And is ride still the same? I have a
2013 ram that I wanna do that too
nice truck and lift kit, Im looking into getting a kit in my 2011 ram. the
truck sits way better
I did nothing with the front drive shafts, but if there was any more of a
lift I would be concerned with the angle. I would say that 2.5 inches is
about the max you want to go without any other major modifications.
@kdsooner For the front I just dissconected everything and the strut came
out, but for the back I used a spring compressor, made it real easy and
took half the time as the front.
is it because u had the levell kit installed ? jut wondering cause i got
the kit installed and i noticed some vibration after that on my 2011 ram
1500 2.5 in the front 1.5 rear and noticed some shaking in 4×4 aceeleration
did you powder coat your rims?
i just installed a 1.5 daystar leveling kit and everthing is level except
my pasenger front well its about half inch off will that go away after its
broken in or did i do something wrong????
Lookin good
Just what I was looking for. 2″ lift on a 2009 crew cab. I’m definitely
getting it now. Thanks for sharing. Looks great.
Did you need a spring compressor when you disconnected the strut?
@JKMudder I got roughly 2 1/4 inch in the front and just over 1 inch in the
rear. The truck is noticeably higher, you can tell cause its harder to get
in now.
No problems, I really like the product. I was afraid of axle angles, but I
have had no issues. I tend to run 4 wheel drive about a dozen times a year.
When i did my leveling kit I got 1-1/4″ spacers for the front and it gave
me exactly 2-1/2″ lift love the look and the dodge trucks should come stock
like this. Cost me $67
if i may ask how much did it cost
how much is this? i have an 04 that id love to do this to.
Those rims look sick, i wanna do the same to mine
The kit came with the Poly rear spacers which used at the bottom of the
rear springs.
@jstubbe1 Yes I had to rotate the strut 180, with the triangle bolt pattern
it is required.
SLT, I added the rear bumper with exhaust cutouts, and did my own dual
exhaust with flowmaster 40’s, all welded.
is the Front coil spacers the only thing that came with the kit? i have a
silver ram just like this, and it looks like shit leaning fwd 2 inchs
The kit I bought came with a 2 1/2 spacer for the front a a 1 inch spacer
for the rear, but you can just buy the front spacer if you want.
I have 2010 Ram 1500 be ready for the Pinion recall. I just had
Catastrophic Rear End Failure at 71K surprised the crap out of me. At end
of my st. The Driveshaft sheared off at the Rear End & Rear is locked up.
Had it Flatbed to dealer. It been at dealer almost a week they said they
need Dodge approval to repair it. I did nothing wrong. They knew about this
problem for yrs. & now recall is about to go out. Thanks Dodge
I used PLastiDip, check out my other video where I apply it
@Xbox360GamingLive I think the maufaturer of the kit recommends a 33 inch
tire, but I have read on dodgeforum that people have stuffed a 35 under
there with no problem. I think it would look good with either. As soon as I
can afford it I will go bigger, just not sure how big yet.
looks good man! hey did u paint/powder coat your wheels? i was just thinkin
of it the other day.
@climbetheapple The kit came with a front and rear spacer, and in the vid i
had only installed the front just to see what it would look like, and the
manufacturer was spot on and I still needed the rear 1 inch spacer.
Did you have to flip you strut 180 degrees to get the spacer bolts to line
up?
Looks awesome im thinking about getting a 2006 dodge ram or a 2009
@marvo75 The big thing was the alignment, it was way off till I had it
aligned, except for that I havent noticed any difference in the ride.
119 plus shipping
Thanks!
i have a 2012 and im looking at top gun kit and was wondering if you had
any problems with it ? thanks and nice truck man !
I was just wondering how much of a rake you had before the install to end
up with the front sitting higher than the rear.
hey man any problems after the align i just got mine done so its rly hard
to tell but ive heard stoires about people getting their trucks aligned
after the instal but because it was aligned to factory settings they wore
funny rly quick this might be an odd question but do u know what they set
your camber caster and toe to? cause they gave me a sheet on mine with what
they did and im just wondering what the did for u. Thanks
hey, nice truck. i got this same lift for my 2012 ram. i tried putting it
on the other day and had to stop at the upper ball joint, it would just
spin when i tried getting the nut off. any advice?
@ericwmolina I do really like the interior on the new ones, and the power
is an upgrade over the previous gen hemi, thanks for the input
Also I went out and got a spring compressor kit, I think it only cost me
around 40 bucks, and it cut the time in half.
