2006 Dodge Charger 5.7L Denso Alternator Replacement. 140 amp

2006 Dodge Charger 5.7L Denso Alternator Replacement. 140 amp

Removal of the EGR is a must. Very good look at a 2006 Dodge Charger 5.7L Denso Alternator. There was no room for a camera during the wrenching.

Best instruction video ever, now instead of changing it myself I’m thinking
of paying someone LOL

Thanks for the vid. I found it helpful and very funny. Yes I swore a lot
and yes I bled a bit too. Thanks again. You are pretty much right on the
money with the vid.

Started right up. Maybe they had the wrong amp alt? this one is 140 there
is a 160.

LSE SSII says:

It has 71,000 miles on it. I have heard they go out between 60 and 70,000
It was wineing so I changed it before it blew out. The engine hours are
low, I need to look at mine again with the dash code.

freedrum says:

was that a 3.5L?

goindigital03 says:

i have a 2007 police charger.how many miles does yours have? just so i can
have an idea of when to expect these problems

LSE SSII says:

No, but if it has 80,000 miles plus on it and it has to come off anyway why
not, unless that money thing. Take a good look at it in the light, best
guess.

LSE SSII says:

5.7L Still makes a winy sound. Been through dealers and VicHubards speed
shop, thinking maybe going out of state.

Tony tran says:

Do you have to change the belt when changing the altanator on the 5.7
charger ?

LSE SSII says:

Lot’s of “PB Blast” and wait. Different sockets and a breaker bar with a
pipe on it. Is the brace from the motor mount loose that would add gorilla
force?

mmmikeru83 says:

Did you have any problems starting the car. I have heard from some of my
friends their charger not starting after alternator change.
