2006 2013 Dodge Charger Rear Brake Pad & Rotor Install

2006 2013 Dodge Charger Rear Brake Pad & Rotor Install

The dealer quoted me $400 for the service. I paid 130 for the parts and did it myself with the help of Big Mike. Took a half hour to do both sides.

That was a sad video. You didn’t show how to install the pads. Stay in the
trailer part with those illiterate goons.

Gabriel Perez says:

You guys are the bomb! Now I can resurface my rotors, paint my calipers and
change my brake pads.

n1zm0 says:

caesarsteels says:

Yeah, You must work for a dealership, ,, Because I Have a 95 mustang that I
got brand new 15 years ago, and I still have the original parts on it.
Including the brake lines, and they’re just fine.

caesarsteels says:

@youonknowme Thanks, I hope to post my video for Tie Rods Ends soon

Smokey0210 says:

The brake fluid absorbs moisture over time and will rust your brake lines
from the inside out. So it is a service worth mutherfu*ken doing.

Beatwize6 says:

I have the same year charger…do I have to bleed the brakes. What is the
best muthaphuckin thing to use to clean the rust from the rotor. And by the
way, that was a damn good crisp clean instructional video, cot’dammit. lol
Much appreciated, boss-man!

caesarsteels says:

@huntergluck Just use a C-CLAMP with the old pad to compress the piston

Aaron Brown says:

with a cut down 70 charger rear everything, but the brake drums and brake
shoes and pins are for 71 darts, had the car over a year and just found out
today, crazy AF

MOS1975 says:

e-brake. You saved my ass. Thanks again Trailer Park Boys rule!

carlos valverde says:

midas gave me a quote for 150$ for all around rotors and pads over the
phone. when i showed up they brokedown my breaks and told me that its going
to 509$, i asked what had happened

allstetic Netic says:

@29jcorn sorry a little late. But yes there is a trick to getting the front
and back rotors off, if they’ve been on awhile and heated up a few times
they will seem to be on there like a son of a bitch! Trick is give it two
taps in the back and a couple in the front and the mother fucker should pop
right off. I had the same problem i was beating and beating on my rotor got
frustrated said fuck it. Talked to a couple people and one of my friends
told me the trick. Sure shit one hit and boom!

John D'Amelio says:

*sigh*….dumb people putting stick on canadian tire decal and wrong size
rims on cars…. it makes me sad

pitbullhrrcns says:

If you keep eating brake pads and rotors number one get some real pads not
10 dollar pads and two dont use full ceramic use semi ceramic..I have
noticed most rotors are made with cheap metal and are much softer than they
used to be so with a full ceramic pad is very hard and just eats the metal
compared to a semi ceramic pad where you eat the pad more i much rather pay
for a 20dollar set of pads ever few years than a set of 120 dollar rotors
every year..

29jcorn says:

Good Shit Big C’s and Big Mike! But one thing…I’m doin da front and can’t
get da damn rotors off! How can I get em off? Everybody says bang em off
but it gotta be a method to it cuz I know I’m a fuck sumptn up if I keep
hitn it as hard as I am!

caesarsteels says:

@thinkof2morrow : Your Welcome

Kingpin4u2Hear says:

real talk, good job on makin this video. i got a magnum, same brakes. i did
the front with no problem, but the rear rotors didnt wanna come off. just
searched the internet to see if there was any special method to getting
rotors that have E-brakes mounted in the hat of the rotors. now i guess i
gotta just go into beast mode on them b*tches.

carlos valverde says:

…….to the special and they gave me some buplshit.excuse that it was
only yesterday and whomever i spoke to was miss informed

revron39743 says:

for a good price

youonknowme says:

Big time*

youonknowme says:

Thanx for this vid it helped me do brakes and rotors on my 07 Charger. On
my 07 there were no restricting pins. The socket for the calibers was a 5/8
and for the bracket I needed a 3/4. Couldve saved a lot of time if you had
mentioned the socket sizes. Also I am in the mind to put my emergency brake
on when I lift my car up. But the rotor will not come off with the
emergency brake on. but overall your video saved me a out of money. so
right on.

caesarsteels says:

@johndamelio39 Canadian tire decal?

n1zm0 says:

You forgot to put the clips back on! I or I missed that part maybe.

mytjoemaine says:

what socket did you guys use ??????

caesarsteels says:

@live051 Your Welcome

caesarsteels says:

Anytime bro!

Chad Billings says:

10$ pads? LOL!!

caesarsteels says:

@29jcorn, you have to take off the bracket that holds the caliper in place,
then after you that, there are retainer tabs holding the rotor to the hub,
after u take the tabs off, spin the rotor and hit them with a mallet or
hammer while it is spinning,,,, also spray some wd40 to loosing it up, it
comes off the same way as the back rotor

John D'Amelio says:

chargers are amazing, and this video was VERY helpful…but please take off
the sticky goodscoop and side “speed holes”
