Dennis from Alberta, Canada. Great video, very straight forward. saved me quite a bit of cash that the shop would have charged me.

brianh08031 says:

Here is a question with that part leaking will it cause the check engine light come on?

brianh08031 says:

Thanks for the video I have an 05 magnum water outlet was leaking. Thanks for the infomation. Great videos.

The Texan says:

Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us, I really appreciated!
By the way, this is the second time that I’ve to replace the darn “coolant/bleeder assembly”. I don’t understand the need for it!

jimmykimmi01 says:

Did you use any rtv sealer on this?

Autotechviewpoint says:

yes

Lyndwan says:

Ive got bubbling around the housing but no leaks any were else. So do I just replace the housing like you showed in the video?

Trevor Engman says:

Thank you!!!

Autotechviewpoint says:

Could still be leaking internally, just slow enough that you do not notice any running problems. You could run it and re-check the vehicle hot. or just check at different temperatures. Leaks can happen at different temps.

wolfsbainefreek666 says:

From Florida, I’ve got the same vehicle. Been noticing I’ve been losing coolant, and been running a little hotter than normal, as in hitting the middle hash mark on the temp gauge. I’ve looked for and can’t fund any leaks anywhere. Not the head gasket because the oil isn’t milky. Thinking the water pump seal is going, but can’t see any leaks and its a new pump, installed 2 years who. Got any suggestions in where else to look?

Autotechviewpoint says:

I do not think that would work. You can certainly try it, cause it will either work or it won’t, then you will be in the same boat. and need to replace the assembly.

Zackary Bryant says:

Hello from Florida I have a question is it possible to use jb weld to glue the piece back on instead of replacing the whole part?

Wayne Erama says:

sacramento calif…..will that be the same for a 2005 chrysler 300 2.7l

Greeting from NYC! nice video too! I have a question Im having coolant leaking on my 01 dodge intrepid around the coolant air bleeder. My mechanic told me to change the “ intake” but not sure if he meant the coolant air bleeder? What should I do?

Autotechviewpoint says:

likely a gasket or o-ring. I am sorry you are having a bad time with it. I do not have this car available to look at further and help decide what the issue is.

Bill Mueller says:

I have a smaller pipe as part of the pipe that goes into the front of the bleeder box as well. I did the replacement procedure, but the lower pipe is now leaking. That is a much bigger problem as I can’t see down into that area to see where it is leaking. Is there another gasket down there?

Chermaine Meissner says:

Awesome video, showed me what was replaced on my Intrepid yesterday. Thanks for the great visual! WI

Autotechviewpoint says:

Glad to hear you got it taken care of.

Will Cook says:

The red stuff didn’t work. it wasn’t a glue at all just basically made a gasket that didn’t hold that lid on at all so i replaced the part. your video was a huge help as i referred to it several times while doing it.

Autotechviewpoint says:

Gaskets/o-rings should be all you need for sealing. Why they are failing? Maybe just a poorly designed part . glue is likely ok and will not hurt anything. The reality is if it leaks, not a huge deal, just have to try again.

Will Cook says:

this just happened to my 02 intrepid. Firstly, do you know why it happened? could there be something else wrong that also needs fixed? 2nd the guy at the auto parts store sold me this red gasket glue to glue that part back on. is this a bad idea? I haven’t tried to run the car yet cause i’m kinda nervous it wont hold.

htoski74 says:

I have an 01, 2.7 looks pretty similar! Im going to try to do this my self! Thank YOU!!

Autotechviewpoint says:

sorry you had an issue. I cannot see a smaller tube, except i do see a sensor screwed in below the large pipe at the front. Is that sensor screwed into the pipe you are talking about.? Sorry it has been a couple years since i did this..

ThadmanKane says:

Does the smaller metal tube below the larger one press in with an O’ring as well, managed to push the tube assembly in too far, cannot see the end of the small tube, cannot pull it back out, going to remove core support plate above to get a better view on the smaller tube going into the block. Was easy, just got harder. FL.

lenny valdez says:

I just got quoted 290.00 to rplace this!!! screw that I’m doing it my self, thanks!

J.B Spencer says:

thank you very helpful!!!
