nice video. I have a 2007 ram 1500 that I thought the thermostat was out on due to overheating. I replaced it but the engine overheats just the same. the lower heater hose is cool to the touch and upper is hot when the engine runs. I know I've installed the new unit correctly. A friend thought it was air locked but I dont know how to bleed off the air. Any thoughts?

is there a way of telling if it's the water pump or thermostat that is bad?

Thank you for taking the time to record your work on this. I'm a shadetree mechanic and I was able to do this in a couple of hours. 2 Thumbs up .

Thanks for this video. I have a 2003 4.7 Ram. I noticed the other day that I had a crack at the corner of the radiator near the upper hose which caused a number of issues from overheating to coolant spray all over the engine bay. Given that the truck is 14 years old I've ordered all new parts, and am glad to find this video.
