Does anyone know where you can get the lower dash assembly? I am restoring my Dads 2001 Dodge Ram. He replaced the dashboard years ago but the area below the steering wheel, cupholders, and glove box are breaking apart. I can find dash skins, and replacements for the top but nothing for the bottom.
I bought my 01 1500 2wd 5 speed manual, as a mechanics special, or better yet, a hot rod project. It runs amazing now. Interior is about 20% complete. That being said, my dash is about 3% intact. Instead of a new dash from LMC or Chrysler, I am redesigning and fabricating a new one from scratch. I know I can build one that will last the life of the truck. It will be made from plastic, fiberglass and steel. I plan on making mine a bit of a show truck though. Besides being something I build myself, it will be cheaper and a one of a kind. I love the 2nd gen design, but i think there are a lot of design flaws that Dodge just left in to cut cost.
This looks really helpful. I have a 2001 dodge ram 2500 and am looking to actually replace the whole dash board. To much sun damage and clips are broken. I'm curious how to go about that.

my 01 cracks are starting to get bad..its a plow truck so i could care less but i dont wanna lose stuff under the dash..

Hey there i did the same thing in my 01ram LMC is the way to go new bezel new replacement dash looks just like the oem just fits better
The good thing is you can change your oil from inside the cab
That's a huge hole you shoulve put pilot holes for the factory screws to hold the cap down
Double back tape & lots of it, use acetone to clean
