Yep! Got a 2007 ram and called O’riely’s and one with a lifetime wartranty
was 60.00….. OUCH. I ooked at the leads going into the resistor and they
are all black/oxidized. Either this part was way under designed or the
motor draws too much current, meaning bad or under lubricated bearings.
Don’t be suprized if the resistor blows again. If it does, your motor
probably needs replacing…. I was quoted 99 and some change for the motor,
April 2014. I’d like to take some resistance measurements from a new one
and see if I could build my own. Wouldn’t be hard at all. Mine has 2
shorted terminals coming out of the top and a metal shield on the top,
different than yours. Kinda weird.
