Running your tranny low on fluid is a bad thing. It may have caused damage
beyond solenoid s.

Bob Kontak says:

Thanks for the video. I used it to fix my 98.

However, the band “lash” you show of about 1/2 inch looks about right. The
other end of the lever is where the approximate 1/8″ band adjustment is –
where the screw and lock nut are.

My truck when you get off the gas or stop then it just revs and doesnt want
to go again, whats your thoughts????

Lud Wig says:

I have a 2006 Ram 1500, that is not shifting most of the time. I cannot
tell what gear it is in when starting out but it is not 1st and maybe not
second. I dont feel it shift up lately and rpm is too high 3 -3.5, but runs
good really. I get the P 0700 error which points too general TCM issue,
but on this model the TCM is intergrated in the main computer, so I am
debating to get it scanned for specific problem, IF a scan tool can even
get more specific. What do u think?

Fluid is ok. I will try some lucus just to clean filter, maybe it is
gunked up, but other than changing the solenoids, do you think the TCM
portion could be a culprit, as I seen it on earlier older trucks? Do
you know if the ’06 has the same solenoid set up as your video? Did your
job also include a tranny kit (filters, ?)? Thanks!

My 1999 dodge ram automatic transmission won’t shift every time I’m in
drive and I start to drive after I come to a complete stop it gets stuck in
a low gear after letting off the gas and pressing the gas again it finally
shifts do you think this video will fix my transmission?

MudBogginRatRoddin says:

Thats a good idea, I didnt think of that. ive got a 97 ram sport that wont
shift. I adjusted the bands and it didnt help im gonna try that. Thanks so
much

My 99 Dodge doesn’t want to shift to 3rd from second and today it basically
came out if gear while trying to get to third. Will this fix the problem?

Rick Lasee says:

Sweet video bro. You get 5 stars from me. Only took me 2 hours after
watching your post. Parts were $300 with a new filter but that’s a lot
cheaper than any shop would have charged me. Most of them couldn’t even
tell me if that was the problem. Thanks and have a Merry Christmas!

Chris Atkinson says:

My truck all of a sudden wouldn’t pull it revved in the middle of traffic
and that’s it pulled over started again shifted great for about 10 seconds
then Just revved again. Serviced the tranny in April no debris. Dropped the
pan this time no debris. Got codes p0740 tcc solenoid and p1757 governor
shift solenoid. Also found broken 3/4 accumulator speing which explained my
frequent shift to od issue. I’m buying the new tcc/ od solenoid, governor
and shift solenoid and new valve body just in case. Do you feel I’m on the
right track? 204k miles been driving perfect until a couple days ago. 1996
1500 5.2 46re transmission.

Zachary Czerniakowski says:

name for those parts are and i have a 1999 dodge ram 1500 4×4 sport would
the parts be the same

CreationsByAbbey says:

Ok so I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9l that is real bad about shifting
into 1st and 2nd gear. Takes me for ever to get going. I took it into a
shop and was told that I would have to replace the whole transmission. Is
that true? Or is there anything else I can do to fix it? Help?

Jim Cash. says:

shifts… is the trany simpilar ,I have a 5.2 V8. auto trany. ? let me know
either way……..

Theodore Reed says:

1996 Ram 1500 2WD….fresh rebuild, zero miles. Has strong first gear and
strong reverse. Wont shift out of first gear. Pulled trans relay, I have
the manual shift from 3rd to second. Its something electrical. Everything
was cleaned, inspected, installed correctly. The reason for the rebuild was
burned friction discs. Any ideas?

what part number is 57007A 2335, I cant find it any where thanks

Cory Yakim says:

did u fix your tranny. my 99 does the same thing

elDodgeO says:

I took it in and had it flushed. they said there was some blockage. it
doesn’t shut itself off now but the engine light is still on. this could be
a different problem but this vid made this job seem fairly simple so I may
go ahead and do this because it dose feel a little sluggish from a dead
stop. oh, also I found these parts on amazon and I could get both for the
same price as just one from the shop that was working on it. ..I’d like to
hear back if you get yours fixed.

Dakota Rhoden says:

ive got the same truck but 4X4 and it hesitates to shift into 2nd or 3 and
when i’m at about 10 or 15 mph it kicks and sounds like its knocking. whole
new transmission or could i replace a few senors? help please

Marat Rakhmanov says:

Oil level is normal and red and i used luckas trans fix but didn’t help ,
can you help me about this problem? Thank you

elDodgeO says:

could this be the problem I’m having? I just got an 01 and around 60mph it
turns off the o/d itself then the transmission temp light comes on and wont
shift.

James hart sr says:

lifesaver ! thanks

Marat Rakhmanov says:

simple job on a Dodge Truck transmission.
