I’m having similar problem. My 1997 Toyoya Mark 2 starts up fine.
Engine is ok. But as soon as I turn on the headlight the car shuts down.
Also when i use remote control/alarm key it shorts electric wire somewhere
and i see and hear zapping noises on my engine.

I know i need to pull out that damn alarm system. But at this moment i’m
not sure what i should pull out. So i’m researching. Until that, for the
time being i’m thinking of pulling out the headlight fuse and try to drive
the car only during daylight.

GotScout says:

You having a tripod is a great thing… next time USE IT. Following the
bouncing ball discredits the message. Also… when working on a car with
door open… move to a driveway or other OFF STREET location. I was
waiting for you to get popped with each car I heard passing.

GotScout says:

BTW… thanks… I suspect that my issue is a coil disconnect bypass… so
thanks for your issues… they are similar to mine. But my set-up is a
total clusterfuck from the installer!

I’m the same user as +shiftoptionk1976 and the avital alarm i mentioned was
poorly installed. No starter kill wired in and a lot of other thigs too.
The wires were TWISTED together and taped. Makes it easy. Also the DRL
install was a crappy relay job. Pulled the relay, didnt do anything else;
the relay wiring doesnt affect anything. The headlights work perfectly.

Need help to remove autopage XT-72 LCD from my Lincoln town car,91 model

Mike Smith says:

ummm no real shop uses wire nuts . only hacks

shiftoptionk1976 says:

Used these instructions on a 1991 Voyager LWB. Removed a Clifford alarm
(same as Avital and Viper) and aftermarket daytime running lights (this was
a US import into Canada but now that it’s over 15 years old it no longer
meets CMVSS) which fucked up the electrical, disabled some fans allowiong
overheating, and draining the battery (needs a jump from my bmw every time
i wanted to drive it until now)

Can you buy a brand manufacturer front bumper and rear bumper if your
redoing your 3rd generation Chrysler minivan? Good video

Honey Love says:

Hey what problems was it giving u?? I have a 96 grand caravan and it will
start up not then turn right off and the top lights come on like the oil
and the alarm set and ABS but the bottom ones don’t like the mileage etc…
this happened be4 Nd I just messed with the locks then it started up now to
u do this sounds like a alarm issue??

tom smith says:

what about the back up battery for the alarm system? Do you disconnect
that first, leave it, what do you do with it? I too have an old viper on
my dodge but it has a back up battery.

Jerid Feces says:

future shop installed a piece of a shit alarm system years ago, it’s been
going off randomly for the past 2 years now.

Renee Lynn says:

going out right now to dissconnect/reconnect battery. turn the key
left/right in the drivers side door, and beat the dashboard.

Rick Bryan says:

That’s exactly right these systems cause more trouble for owners than they
save in stolen cars.

J Pitts says:

sooo… i have a lot more wires than that….

Renee Lynn says:

same issue i think..previous owner had wires going from the alarm/horn
directly to the battery terminal. after a while i noticed it would start
but would sound weak (battery) brought it to auto store for free test.
starter good, alternator good, battery good, notice my terminals were
coorded so i replaced them and it started up with the lights brighter and
everything good. now randomly i go to turn the key and i get no start at
all. all power item come on in the dash etc. turn key and no noise or
crank…this happened once or twice before and i kept turning the key and
it did start. starts when its -20 but not a 15 degrees. the current alarm
positve cable has a clamp type thing on it (like a mini jumpercable) i have
that electric taped to avoid shorts…help lol

I follow your video guide and I successfully remove the Python alarm from
my 1998 Toyota Camry. I am not a car savvy guy, but with your clear
guidance, I am able to get rid of this useless and annoying alarm that
always causes my battery and starting problem.

Steve Young says:

Good job, Paul. Shows why alarms are such a pain and not work putting in
at all. After having the same problems with alarms, I went with Ravelco.
No false alarms, works EVERY time and has a lifetime guarantee. 5 years
and counting. Their testimonials spoke volumes. Keep up the great work
helping people solve these irritating problems and remove the useless junk!

I just looked at your comment and all I saw was ” I just took a shit
yesterday ” lmfao!…mis read that due to glancing at the screen wrong
lol.I hope it went well for you and Like the guy said a few comments above
you.. It really is a step by step dismantlement. its best to locate the
brain of the alarm, look up its model number and get detailed info on the
wires and where it goes.. subscribe to my channel! and thanks for watching

meadows1130 says:

905speedgta says:

that may be a factory alarm.. what beeps the horn or the alarm?

Ren Evans says:

Very good. help me to get my stupid alarm from my Camry98

905speedgta says:

it sounds like your have a bad central locking cylinder in one of the
doors. is this a 1996 LE ?

905speedgta says:

sounds like its not disarming. do u have the remote still?.. if not put the
key in the drivers door with the door closed. Lock the door with the key.
then unlock it again.. These cars have something called a central locking
system. a system that has sensors on each door lock cylinder and you can
unlock and lock all doors from that spot.. following what I said above
manually disarms the factory alarm. If this doesnt work you might have a
few other problems.. try that and let me know

Johnny5liter says:

Worked out great. Car starts and all accessories work. Thanks again for
posting the video. Helped me out tremendously. Just subscribed.

rounddancefan1 says:

SE… when i unlock the doors i have to hold the key…then open the
door…otherwise it just locks back up again. when it set off the lights
flicker off & on…

905speedgta says:
