I’m debating on changing the thermostat on my jeep because on my temperature gauge it would always sit on 1/4 and now it sits about half way to the middle but I have no lights or codes
I just replaced the radiator on my 2019 Pacifica 3.6L V6 Touring L. Is there a coolant air bleeder screw on these motors? My coolant was boiling and the level was going up and down in the expansion tank (air in system??). I don't want to overheat the engine. I have since left it running with the expansion tank cap off, Engine & heater on max for about 20 minutes, pressing the rad hoses to rid the air, seems to have gotten better, got to check again tomorrow morning. Am I doing anything wrong? I still haven't used the air bleeding yellow funnel, will try that tomorrow..
Does that hose on top of tge thermostat housing connected to the reservoir
Sometime I add coolant to the upper hose and fill to help bleed faster
Question, I have a 2017 grand caravan gt. I changed the radiator, hoses and stat and bled the system on the thermostat housing. My front vent get hot but I'm having a hard time getting heat from the rear vents. What am I missing?
I have a 2012 Durango with rear heat, calls for 3 gallons, I can only get 2 in. Rear lines are vapor locked even with front end in the air at a 30° angle. Fukn pieces of shitt.
The proper thing to do with any Pentashit engine is to throw it in the fucking ocean where it belongs and replace it with a 225 Slant Six.
Thx for the tip
Even when I didn’t have a bleeder funnel I would always just let them run with the cap off for a little bit them with the cap on for a little bit then fill them up after they cooled down and never had any problems with air bubbles left
Why engine removed?
Man… spend the money and get a vacuum cooling system refilled. You will cut down on repair times, ensure the system has been bled, and much easier and cleaner than using a coolant funnel. Come on guys we’re supposed to be the professional spend that money to make money !
What generation is my pentastar v6 in a 19 Dodge Journey GT?
damn I wish you was located in Maryland bro
Vacuum fill every system
I assumed my radiator bleeds its self (2003 camry le)
I always use a vacuum filler. It works flawless nearly every time.
Plastic . Smh turning the tab risk stripping out. I recall the same style turn tab was on chysler radiator drain plug and it stripped off when opening to drain. End up having to replace the whole rad.
Vacuum bleeders work great too
I've never had an issue with just bleeding the system with a funnel. Driving the car until operating temperature and rechecking the coolant reservoir. Air will automatically go to the top of the engine even with a thermostat. Let me know if you ever had an issue with getting the air out of your system
