Later this month I will continue my tear down and maybe I can find why my LHS is such a money pit……….

jbe313 says:

good question, not sure, I don’t think it would be from dust.. possibly heat

Allan Peters says:

Is there a certain surge or something that frys them? Or is it Arizona dust piling up that kills them? It’s not like the goofy thing is turning 100 times a minute. Why are they breaking?

The best place to get one is a junk yard , or you could get lucky on ebay or find someone parting out a car. I think the junk yard charged my $5. I have seen them for as much as $100+ online. The “pull your own part” junk yards are usually cheaper and should be pretty easy to get the part.

what was the part cost? who did you buy it from?

jbe313 says:

thank you, glad it helped
