Brilliant video. Very well explained and simple to follow. Thank you!
here it is marc change the bulbbb….
great no bs video thanks
Thanks. this video helped alot when I took out the headlamps for the 2006
PT Cruiser. Few differences. the 2006 fender panel is all one piece versus
2 pieces for the 2005 and lower. also to remove the headlamps on the ’06
you need to remove the grill which will reveal a screw thats holding the
bumper, remove the screw holding the bumper to further drop the bumper out
of the way!
I was so impressed with this video, I made a purchase from 1A Auto. Their
price for PT Cruiser headlights was the best I found!!
Glad to hear our video help you out. Have a great day!
I know why you did not show how to replace the high beam bulb, it is so
deep in the hole and the hole to get at it is TINY, you would need to take
off the tire to really get to it, I spent 45 minutes with the tire on, with
NO SUCCESS !!!!!
How do you adjust the headlights on a 2001 PT Cruiser?
Great info. Thanks for posting this!
Great job. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for visiting our auto repair channel on YouTube.
One quick tip from a video pro who uses hallogen light bulbs – not getting
the oil or any other contamination on the glass of the bulb – will increase
it’s life tremendously. If you do handle the bulb use paper or wipe off
your prints before installing it.
There should be an adjusting screw either on the top or the backside of the
headlight.
There might be, or if there’s an extra bracket in the way you may need to
remove it.
It appears the steps for the high beams are similar to replacing the
assembly. Otherwise, I fail to see how the high beam bulb is easily
accessed. I couldnt access with just removing the little door. Hands are
too big to get in there.
It’s easier if you take the tire off, and then take it out through the
access hole in the wheel well.
I had no idea it was that easy! Thank you for this video. You saved me a a
lot of money by showing me how to do it myself versus taking it into the
shop to have it done.
You may need to find something to hold them in place from rotating. You
might be able to do that with a flat head screw driver so that there’s some
pressure on it.
thank you guys for the help- i never would have thought there was a back
entrance, however my fat hand was able to reach under without a jack–the
wheels were cocked hard to the right tho…again many thanks!
I am having problems where at 5:30 in the video, my stems are rotating when
trying to remove these nuts….Any ideas?
@TiniTinyTony You should be able to get them at your local dealership. Hope
this helps you out.
