Do I install the new lifters prime or un-primed? Also, should I use assembly lube on the tips of them?

Dorian Payne says:

couldn't find thing spring compressor anywhere here. could order it from a auto parts store for $95 – $110 so I made my own version. except it won't work to get the damn keepers back on. ugh lol

hey great video, and thanks. Q: i have 2003 ram 3.7, i need to replace the head gaskets. is it possible to remove the heads with having to get in to the timing gears. my understanding as long as its at TDC on number one cylinder, i can set the cams at top dead( V6 mark on cam gear at 12 o clock) and replace the gasket and go back with the head?

i'm trying to avoid taking every thing apart if i don't need too. thanks guy and keep making video, my brother saved so much money from watching your video.

hi Jamie thank you for the awesome vid, btw did you have to "valve lap" the valves or did u just install them.. thank you

Paul Blakey says:

thanks, this helped me alot. i had to get a new cylinder head and one of my valves were too short causing my rocker arm to keep falling off. will that cause your car to idle rough and not start. it ran smooth until the rocker on cylinder 5 fell off
