I believe that this is what I need to do to finally replace my head unit,
but the last time I messed around with a relay box it didn’t end too well.
before you attached the wire to your relay box, was your head unit getting
power but not putting out sound? also do you know if you are doing this fix
because your van came with the infinity sound system? Appreciate the help.
hey oneshot i have a 2000 chrysler t&c lxi this red wire u installed does
this bypass the manuf. amps that r on the speakers them selfve ive been
trying to find how bypass them without having to buy new speaker and
rewiring the whole van.
If you hear no sound after you hook up you aftermarket stereo you most
likely have a dig. amp and have to send a signal to the relay to switch it
on. Remember to use your amp ground and ground it good.
why didn’t you just buy a wiring harness for ten buck and plug it in the
the existing one in the van no need to run new wires just snap together and
turn on your ignition and there you go, memory setting are stored on the
stereo and no guessing which wire is what for the speakers. all memory
presets are stored. and you wanna take it up a notch you can add power amps
and replace factory speaker for better quality ones and add a subwoofer
too….
P.S. This vid is just to show you how to set up the amp! And yes I did buy
a wiring harness! 2 they are Infinity speakers and this is a mini van!!!
What do you think I’m going to do thump rock my nabors with some 12″
woofers sporting 3 6 year olds in the back!! lmao And before you say a
thing NO I wont put Hydraulics in it neither!
Great video.

You don’t say which wire coming OUT of the stereo, that goes to the relay.
I used the constant yellow wire coming out from the radio works perfect

Awesome. I searched for hours trying to find an answer. Thankyou.
For everyone: I used 16 gauge wire, and attached to the switched power on
the radio (red) so there would not be a constant drain, works perfectly!
Thanks bunch!
