Could you show a vedio of a runner valve on a 2007 ford expedition p1004 code.

Ay wassup man,
I have a 2007 Chrysler 300 touring and my car read 1004 so I followed your vid exactly and it started up fine no engine light drove it around turned it off. Then turned it back on and the light came back on. I checked the code and it read 1004 idk what's going on. My car RPM fluctuates when idling on a stop. And even turns off on me. You think you can help me out? Thanks.

Hi I have a car dodge charger there is an error 0133 what and how to fix the error

Joe Sauve says:

Cleaning the plenum worked great for me! However, I had to completely remove the plenum and clean the short runner valve flaps manually. Just use throttle body cleaner to thoroughly clean each of the 6 short runner valve flaps. Let it sit overnight so that all of the throttle bottle cleaner evaporates. Also clean the short runner valve actuator that is detailed in this video. Removing the plenum can be a little tricky because it's fit in there pretty tightly. Just google around for a video that shows how to remove the plenum. There's several.

I was consistently getting the code before. But now over one month after cleaning, the code has still not re-appeared.

Take great care when re-installing the plenum to make sure the seal on the EGR valve tube that connects to the back of the plenum is completely seated. If it's not, the engine will run like shit because of a vacuum leak. Easy to fix. Just make sure that EGR tube seal is in place properly.

hey man im very worried about this problem on my car, just bought it used from a used car dealership and i looked it up and its only a 155 dollar piece, but im also looking at other sites its saying that i have to change the whole intake manifold at that brand new is suppoably 1700 dollars, can you please help me man im worried

Luis Rojas says:

my car is a 2006 Chrysler 300 touring with same engine and just had it checked out for same code found out it doesn't have any o ring as shown in your video and did everything you said to do but check engine is still on what do you think the problem is?

James Schooley says:

Except p1004 is for the srv(short runner control). You are messing with the mtv(manifold tuning valve), which would be a code p1005. The fix here unfortunately is a new intake manifold.

Thank you brother! That hissing sound was annoying as hell, but if it works, it will be worth it! 😉

Ahmad Chmeis says:

Nice but without music to understand

Great video thank you

Nice and very helpful. I have a 07 magnum with the 3.6 and getting that code. Easy fix too, I know what I'm doing this afternoon.

For all of you others asking questions.
1. Use break cleaner. Do NOT spray a lot into that manifold you can cause a bigger problem if you get vapor lock.
2. All of the Dodge 3.6L motors are the same.
3. This only helps with the trouble code P1004 and fixes the main problem. It does not address the sensor.
4. If your car has other problems or failed inspections then this will not solve your problem. It may help but it is NOT a cure all.
5. You can get the O-ring auto parts stores.
6. Grease – like he said you can use just about any kind. BUT grease does melt when exposed to heat and car engines get hot. My self I'll get some brake grease since that has a really high melting temp (sold in a little pouch usually by the cash register). Use only a little bit too folks, to much will just add to the existing mess.

Queen MissyPoo says:

Is the car on or off after you clean the first part . Crazy question by t I heard some type of air noise lol.. Also I know brake part cleaner to clean the first part, but what do I use to clean the carbon build up where the air flows through?

Jimmy vazquez says:

I only have 57000 on the odometer been maintained fairly well I think I am the second owner of this car couple years ago had no problems with the smog inspection all of a sudden it's not passing I need help

Jimmy vazquez says:

great video my friend just one question will this work on a Dodge Charger SXT with a 3.5 liter engine? reason I'm asking is because I just have a check engine light coming on and wont turn off and I failed my smog inspection test this morning

Thanks very much, this was the most informational video I have found yet. So, I have the same problem and I took my car back to the place where I bought it because I had a 30 day warranty. They supposedly fixed it, but after a week the light came back on. I dont have any tools to take apart anything. Is there like an easier way to fix this issue? Like maybe some cleaner that can go in the gas tank? I just got this car so funds are a little tight, Im really looking for a quick fix. Thanks and Happy New Year

Bill Ziegler says:
