How to change alternator on chrysler 300, Charger, Magnum, Challenger with Hemi

Was driving home one day and car started making a whine, the battery light turned on and the radio turned off. I then checked the voltage the alternator is putting out in the EVIC menu (electronic vehicle information center) and it showed low voltage. So I knew it was time to be replaced. Here is a video on how I did it. Sorry Its so long but I didnt want to cut through it so you didnt miss anything. Thank you for watching

An impact gun or a pipe to un loose the three Alternator Bolts for sure.

Stanley Shack says:

For me The Alternator Bolts was very hard to loose. I had to get a pry pipe. The top Alternator Bolt.i had a 15 cm wrench on the bolt , but I put the pipe underneath the 15mm wrench across to the body of the car, and pushup that is the only way I got the top bolt out. The two bottom bolts I was the pipe, I put the put pipe over the ratchet which had a 15mm socket. The Alternator Bolts are very hard to take off. You probably will need a pipe. I went to lowes bought an open end on by side of the pipe for 13.00 dollars.

How were you’re RPM’s ? I’m asking because I have the same issue noise wise and batterie light are the same but my RPM’s go really high when I accelerate does that have anything to do whit it or ?

The progression of mine dying too 1 block. Whine, loss of engine accel, turned on hazards, came to stop, and hazards and all turned off with in a block. Battery AND alternator were TOAST. Thanks for making a video so that people can see what they're getting into before they get into it. Take 83% of the frustration out. Now, the other 672% still happens when you drop a bolt, or your arm barel fits and is being stabbed by every little sharp thing.

Feels like tickling paranas.

Any idea on how to get the bottom 2 bolts loose if stuck? Tried breaker bar from underneath to no avail
