Is the TCM the same as the PCM on a 2008 Dodge 3.8L Grand Caravan? I can't seem to find a Transmission Control module for it, but can find the PCM/ECM/ECU all day.

Thank-you for the information.. I 've had issues ever since the tmc was changed on my 2003 dodge caravan se 3.3 L.. I have a smaller car scanner it keeps saying different codes & different sensors..every time one of the sensors is changed another one comes up..I can't seem to get the engine light off..maybe this could be the issue..by the way where can i get that car scanner..what brand is it & by what company Thank-you

Does the current part number have to match the replacement part number for it to work?

@EpicGamingEct says:

for 120$ you can order a brand new PCM with the Vin already programmed in for you !!! did you know that!!! its easiest way , just take out the old and put in the new one and presto done . but a majority of issues with these vans PCM,s is the connectors too the actaul PCM get corroded and just need too be cleaned

@saulpaxson4329 says:

Unpluging the skiim b4 the new computer keeps it from seeing it so it thinks it dont have one.

I have a Chrysler 200 and the PCM is bad. I found a Dodge Avenger with the same PCM ignition and key. Would I be able to use that? I cant find anything saying if I can or not and I don’t know if it’s possible but they seem to be the exact same parts.

Wow that's awesome man! I'm amazed our scanner can finally program ECUs for these cars. Man it was always difficult due to the SKIM. Before the only way to program was using a DRB III scanner and getting a clearance code from Chrysler. Did you have to use the J box?
