Hi, very good video!! But you didn’t talk about the RAP-OFF wire hookup in
your video? Do you forget it? I would say yes because your EVIC display
turn on when you remote start the vehicle which is not supposed to. I know
that because I previously did this installation myself in a 2010 Jeep
Compass (same XK09, same harness) and I forgot to connect the RAP-OFF wire
and the side-effect is when I remote start my Compass, the radio, the wiper
and all other 12V accessoires also turn on, when a factory remote start
only turn on the engine and no 12V accessories. It’s not a big deal, but
it’s a little bit annoying because if you forgot to shutdown your wipers,
they are wiping dry when you remote start (good way to broke something or
scratch your windshield). I now drive a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan and I’ll
process with XK09 installation very soon and your video provide me exact
location of MUX wire for light, but I am still wondering where is the
RAP-OFF wire exactly? In the XK09 installation manual it says “DRIVER KICK
PANEL” but it’s not very clear… I guess I’ll figure out by myself! :-)

Really video. I will try it on my grand caravane. I dont undersand the
toggle switch part. She is suppose to turn off the XK09 but you flip it off
and still can start the car with the remote?

Good video, its too bad that you lost your first file, because Id like to
see more of the mounting and initial hook up of the xpresskit box.

Also, the underdash air bag looks like it has a connector that you didnt
touch. I think I see it at about the 9:39 mark where you are pointing to
the mounting tab. Maybe add an annotation there for viewers.

How much different is it if I want to have a seperate key fob for the
extended range?
