The sliding door on mine didn't do anything electrically. I checked the wire harness and found nothing. But there is a connector for that harness on the lower inside of the door. I unplugged that get the cable out. When I plugged that connector back in, everything came to life and I have not had a single problem since. So…unplug the conn and reconnect it before you get too involved in something more tedious.
This was the exact fix for my 2005 Grand Caravan, pulled out the door mechanism, cleaned, lubed and sure enough, it works! Will continue using it so it stays lubricated. THANK YOU, excellent tutorial, I could hear the track running, but the door wouldn't open when the button was pushed, identical problem you had, rather than the wires in the bottom channel that is common.
Maksim, thanks for sharing. I too spent a lot of time inspecting wires, no apparent damage there. Will clean locks as you did. Before your repair did motor hum when button was pushed?
What year is your Chrysler? I think I have the same kind of fault, I would press the button on the remote, in the back or on the front panel and the door would unlatch then the motor would kick in to close/open the door but only move part way on the passenger side but on the drivers side nothing would work. I've spent the day inspecting the wiring and thought the ECU in each door was maybe to fault. your solution makes sense and I think I need to do this to the tailgate as that wont powerlift but will make all the noises like it wants to.

my sliding door will not open with the key fob but it will close with the key fob??? please help
