Chrysler Pacifica Rear Shocks and Coil Spring Replacement

In todays video I show the step by step procedure for replacing the rear suspension shock absorbers and coil springs on a 2008 Chrysler Pacifica minivan. This procedure is similar to a broad year and model range from 2005-2013 including Chrysler and Dodge minivans.

I could have used this video months ago. Ended up removing the plate under the coil instead. Had to use a crowbar to get the strut out/in that way. Painful and time-consuming. Though I don't think removing the sub frame would be easy on the ground. Not enough height from the ground. And I never seen a Pacifica so rust-free. Joy of living in a salt state. Next time I will just pay the mechanic.

Found your channel. Awesome videos. Not ever gonna do this kind of work on my tundra I just like watching you do mechanic work. It's kinda like watching a cooking show. Already subscribed. Thank you

Touching those frame bolts either the front or the rear here in Michigan means the nuts that are welded on the inside break loose. ALWAYS A FUN DAY when these come in. Not to mention how many front sub frames I have replaced due to them rusting out.

Nice repair, Tim.

Does the alignment need to be checked or is there not much movement / offset that could cause dog-tracking?

Toilet Dog says:

There is a good video on Utube of a guy trying to remove a coil spring from the strut assembly on a Impala and that spring takes off like a rifle round out of the shop and across the parking lot! Anyone in it's path would have had their clock cleaned.
