You don’t have to remove the caliper to replace the brake pads,only if your changing the rotor.

It came time to do my rear brakes too because I drive a lot on the highway, so tomorrow morning the car will be up on jacks with its wheels off in the garage. This looks like it’ll take maybe 10 minutes each wheel. Thanks for the heads up!
Switched them out to PosiQuiet semi metallics to keep OEM specs on the car. Man, it catches about 30% better or more on the rear now!
