Christopher Roberts says:

Thanks for this. I would have spent 2 hours trying to figure out how to
lower that dang tire.

melnik says:

What is everyone on the comments to this video whining about. The clip is 3
minutes long and half of it he spent talking and explaining how to connect
the rods and clear the covers. You can do this in under 1 minute if you had
to. Just practice once before you really need it. Its common sense really.
What is America coming to if people are too lazy or dumb to even change a
tire ?
I think its a pretty ingenious solution, Its simple and its not any harder
to get to than a standard car where you would have to unload a whole trunk
if you were on a family trip just to get to the spare tire.

Dave Dalton says:

That looks miserable. I’ll call my AAA.

DC-Friends says:

Thank you for the video … very much appreciated … : )

Laura Wellinghoff says:

Thanks 4 video helped 3 experienced drivers figure out how 2 get silly
spare out of vehicle. Why do new things have 2 be so complicated? But you
didn’t explain how 2 connect those extension bars 2 jack 2 lengthen jack
handle. Thankfully my son was able 2 loosen lug nuts, sometimes not an easy
task with air guns used now days! Did have trouble getting our spare out
from under vehicle, driver tire flat to rim. Suggest position vehicle on
boards or ramp BEFORE taking off spare in this situation.

muñeka d trapo says:

does anyone know how to lower the tire on an older van from the back?

Dale Barks says:

lol 9000 views… it’s good to see I’m not the only one who has trouble
with this crazy set up lol

tobywatcher says:

Helpful, but all i have to say is that this design is awful. How in the
world would people know where the spare is without the manual??

Neil Buckanaga Jr. says:

not to helpful…models vary. and i couldnt see the tab thing in the middle
console. a wide shot could of been useful.

bluenoseguitarman says:

So…. how do you get the spare back up quickly and easily?

Scott Christian Simmons says:

I think they didn’t have good options. For the three years I’ve had my Town
& Country, I’ve been asking myself why other minivans don’t have this
awesome Stow & Go (TM) fold-away seating. I think now I know. Pretty sure I
just paid back the time & energy I saved over that time with one flat …
Well, probably not. It sure was frustrating, though. It’s easy to look at
this mess and think, “There must be a better way!” Harder to actually
figure out what that way would be.

troymines1 says:

Thanx I neede the info

Scott Christian Simmons says:

It only works from the driver’s side. If you’re actually stranded at the
side of the road (where else would you be needing to change the tire?), be
careful about the traffic whizzing by a few inches behind you while you’re
fiddling with all this. Also, if it’s the front driver’s side tire that’s
flat, there’s no way to get the spare out until you have that corner jacked
up. Remember not to get in the car while it’s raised, though! Drop the
spare, jack up the corner, then fish it out. 🙁

doug deman says:

SUMMABITCH !!!! Hope,if ya have a flat, you also have an afternoon free to
change your spare !! lol…. And i can’t help but notice that the handle on
that tool is right at radio bezel level. How many scratched adio
fronts/dashboards have there been just trying to get the damned tire
out….. very inconvenient.

Joseph RonPaul Elster says:

useless…. I KNOW how to get the tire out, but the jack location is
IMPERATIVE!@

Danny Jock says:

How do I put the spare back up?

Dana Barden says:

Yeah a woman like myself would be stranded on the side of the road if I had
to go through that to get my spare tire out. Thank God for fix a flat and a
portable air machine.

Milton Francisco says:

Very complete video!!!

Dominic Calleja says:

I’m hoping I never need to change a tyre – is reloading tyre back in just a
reverse of taking out ?

ilive4dayanks says:

Just bought an 09 T&C Touring. What a lot of crap to go through just to get
at the spare. Hoping to never get a flat.

Laura Wellinghoff says:

There just wasn’t enough clearance because of exhausts and other under-body
to get the spare out with those extra inches!
