darren rogers says:

Hey Raymond…I agree with “speedsterheitman”…You’ve provided info that I
can’t find…Was wondering if you can tell me how to remove the pivot bolt
off of the dang alternator…Everything is in the way..!!!

congabuena says:

Hey darren I think you have to remove the adjuster pulley.

Phillip Acero says:

What tools do you need to take out the alternator? Mines a 98!

congabuena says:

i.m not sure man but i’ll see what I can do.

Andrew Heitman says:

That was very helpful, thank you so much! I have a 1995 with the same
engine, and I am replacing the idler pulley. I haven’t found this info
anywhere else online. Everything says to loosen one of the components
(Alternator or AC Compressor) but I always wondered how to tighten things
back up.
