I have a p0401 code which is egr flow insufficient. The new egr valve is 8
months old. So should I pull the upper intake off and throttle body and
clean the passage which should b behind the throttle body? I have the same
06 pacifica 3.5

Iron Martin says:

Thank you for posting brian, its a lot of help

briansmobile1 says:

Cracked manifold or other such vacuum leaks. Maybe a bad hose or a hose off
from a lube tech checking the air filter hoping to sell a filter and not
caring about putting all back as one.

briansmobile1 says:

If it gets a misfire code *(not coil bad code) it may have a misfire due to
a dirty injector, bad wiring, or poor compression.

frank rojo says:

I have a bad freeze plug but transmission is right next to it to I have to
take off the transmission to get to it plz help!!

Johnnie Harrison says:

Sorry Brian. The car is a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica w/3.5 Liter engine

briansmobile1 says:

@windtalkerxx The antifreeze in the Pacifica is Dexcool long life
antifreeze and yes it’s kind of orange/red.

Johnnie Harrison says:

Good morning, Thanks for the info on the 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. Is it a
possibility of a dirty/bad fuel. Injector on coil #5.

Steven Burpee says:

1/4 inch ratchet fits in there well.

Joeyamila L says:

Hey this video save me a lot of money. thanks I did it my self and it
worked for me my car had factory spark plugs after the 2 other owners the
never changed the plugs. if you have any other videos let me know thanks
again.

callmesir01 says:

Thanks for the advice. It worked perfectly. Not sure why I couldn’t figure
out using another wrench… Lol…

ctaggies says:

I am having the same issues as posted in a previous post regarding the
P04020 Catalytic Code. Plus the engine is not running as well as it should,
kinda sluggish. Could be a bad Cat? Also Radiator leaking, what is the best
brand to purchase and is it possible to replace easy enough at home in
garage? From 1-10 on Mechanical exp, I would say I rank around 9.5 – Just
don’t know much about these Pacificas. Thanks Cliff

Leniel Roque says:

Brian, When I make a sharp or minor turn either to the left or right there
is a clunk-clunk-clunk sound coming from the front, under the vehicle until
the vehicle is automatically staightend back to forward as normal by
its-self. I’ve asked other people and they tell me it might be the
diferential… Please help me!

Johnnie Harrison says:

Sorry about that brian. The car is a Chrysler Pacifica w/3.5 Liter engine

callmesir01 says:

I am trying to get the egr valve off of my 3.5l PAC but the bolt the bolt
furthest from the front is being a real b… I can get a socket on it with
a 6 inch extender, but can’t get much torque because I have to e a small
1/4 driver and it’s in an awkward place. Any tips on how to get it off?

briansmobile1 says:

It’s aluminum in color I would guest it’s tin or aluminum based.

bgyako says:

@briansmobile1 Thanks for getting back to me, I meant more on easiest way
to actually reach the hose. Seems I may need to remove the radiator fan,
other wise it’s in the way. Or going from underneath the car a better
approach?

Matthew Browne says:

torque specs when putting the plugs in?

briansmobile1 says:

@windtalkerxx The coolant in it doesn’t need a ton of maintainance for the
first 100K miles. You top it off at the cap on the drivers side half way
back. (silver cap that says 16lbs or the like) You can test the coolant
condition with a turkey baster type bulb syringe that test for “specific
gravity” Basically if all the little colored balls still float then you’re
good.

Leniel Roque says:

@briansmobile1 can you video the example… about the CV axle? and checking
if its open…

Derik R says:

thanks for posting this ^_^

hmanontario says:

The throttle in my pacifica stuck too. I just cleaned around the butterfly
in the throttle body, with a can of throttle body cleaner, ( under $10)
totally fixed it. We had gone over all the cable points where it could be
hanging up and it didn’t do anything.

Leniel Roque says:

How can I maintain the coolant system myself? How do I fill the coolant and
or rules to go by? PLEASE LET ME KNOW

briansmobile1 says:

Sounds like something is unplugged on the throttle body.

Tamika Brown says:

I have the same vehicle and my engine light came on..I took it to autozone
to test it and I was told it was a sensor in the catalyst converter now my
car shut off…could it b the sensor or a much needed tuneup?

incogitatus says:

@briansmobile1 I had the same problem with a wet passenger side
floor/firewall. It turns out the drainage tube was gone altogether. You can
get a $4 generic tube with a right angle from the dealer, or they’ll try to
sell you a $120 tube with seal kit.

Kathleen Joranger says:

I have an ’04 Chrysler Pacifica AWD. Got a p0353 Ignition Coil #3
malfunction. Replaced Coil #3, drove fine for 3.5 weeks, then got a p0353
again and a all cylinders misfire. Replaced spark plugs and now only
getting ignition coil 3 code. Any ideas what could make #3 go bad 2x?

Jamie Martinello says:

Thank-you, thats pretty good reliabilty. Probably much better than my 2010
Sebring..

LibyanRepublic says:

Is that the ap5405 plugs

briansmobile1 says:

Multiple problems and a lack of hard info. I’d get it to a local shop.

briansmobile1 says:

@2kargarage1 Yes. I would recomend checking the cable routing and cruise
control equipment for binding.

briansmobile1 says:

@Bluepoint04 You’re welcome! Did you notice what brand my cart is? LOVE
Bluepoint!

Jamie Martinello says:

Do you get a lot of Pacifica’s in for repair’s? I really like them, and am
considering one, but im not sure how reliable they are.

austin peters says:

I drive a 2010 Dodge Journey with the 3.5 v6. I have 76500 miles on it
right now, is the timing belt procedure the same as the Pacifica or was
there changes in the 3.5? Thanks

briansmobile1 says:

@windtalkerxx It won’t be till Friday, but yep.
