Do you have any videos showing how to change emergency brake cables?
Beautiful car. They are becoming quite affordable, but I’m unable to get
one due to high taxes on big engines in my country.
Man, excelente video. thanks
just curious. will be doing a tour of this chrysler?
For newer cars, I think the high zinc is bad for the catalytic converter.
According the the special features of the Blues Brothers DVD/Blu-Ray It’s
true! They really filmed that @120MPH! As I type this over free WiFi at an
airport.
The filter is a Donaldson P169071 and will fit ’05 – ’06 models with the
5.7L or 6.1L V8’s. It may work on ’07 and possibly later, but Chrysler
changed the threads to metric at some point in which case, this filter will
not fit on those models. Good luck on your oil change. 🙂
Great vid man! I love the detailed explanations!
Great Video,.. I have an 05 chrysler 300c I want to change the oil and
filter it has 107, 000 miles..can I use the same you used, on my car… can
you tell me the brand of filter and oil and were to buy… this is my first
time.. thanks buddy

You get the results back from the lab? Do share!
When you use Donaldson’s cross reference and search for a Fram PH8A for
example, it presents the P169071 as having the Synteq media. This filter is
far superior to most other filters and even their own standard filter for
this application, which is 99% efficient at 40 micron. I’m always in search
of the best automotive replacement parts both for repairs and maintenance
to ensure maximum performance and longevity. To date, I have not found a
better filter for this application than the P169071.
The filter is a Donaldson P169071 which uses their Synteq media (the same
media found in their Endurance line for heavy trucks). It is a Ford FL1A or
Fram PH8A equivalent. It’s the most efficient filter commercially
available, and the larger size further increases the filter area over the
standard filter size which is significantly shorter. The oil chosen (high
zinc), along with the filter, provide maximum robustness for the conditions
this engine may see on occasion.
What was that product # for that filter
holy hemi, batman- a 180mph speedometer and a >6k rpm tach. i cannot wait
for the tour. that’s quite a machine you have there
Nice car man
The P169071 doesn’t use Donaldsons Synteq media ..it uses full microglass
or microglass/cellulose blend media which gives it 99%@22 micron but their
P550318 may well use the Synteq stufff which is 99%@17 micron. There are
some chemically treated cellulose filters made by MANN for the VAG group
that are over 99%@9 micron…
Imagine if Elwood Blues had one of those!!!
36k on an ’06? You’re keeping yours in great shape. I have 76k on my ’06
and it’s all in city driving. Thanks for putting this out, I was tired of
taking mine to the dealer. Just had to get my thermostat replaced recently
in case you have the issue of your temp getting higher. Noticed when my
temp started jumping above 235 and getting into the red.
Thanks for the reply
Can we get a link to where you got that filter?
Great video.. Just about to do the oil change in my ’07 Jeep SRT8.. Thanks.
I might be wrong about this because it’s been a while, but I heard from
somewhere that the speeds in that movie were real and not sped up by the
camera. So Ellwood was running a true 120mph under that subway bridge. Now,
I’ve run 120+ on a bridge that shall remain nameless, but there’s just
something awesome about a car as big as a ’74 Monaco barreling ass down the
road like it owned it!
