Check the tightness of the leads to the starter (from driver side). Starter solenoid could also be a problem. Check those contacts as well.

Update I tighted the relay and it started but I also have that clicking problem you talked about when to turned the key and the sound cuts outs after the 10min mark

Nimare20 says:

Ok when I turn the key on our 01 chrysler voyager it just clicks once but does not start. I’ve check the battery with a volt meter and check for terminal corrosion, but it a new battery, could it be the relay your talking about in this video

Thanks. I really enjoyed it. Yea, girls can do stuff too. Some just chose to not even try. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I like you too, cause you too looked for yourself. Our starter lasted 130k miles before this happened. You shouldn’t have any problems with it. WAY TO GO!!!!

Ur funny, I like u! My 20 fuse kept blowin, so I looked ut up and figured ut out, yea me a girl!..I just had a used starter n solenoid put in for $100 parts included hope it doesn’t blow anymore!

PiqueWillow says:

Sounds like a bad starter solenoid, contacts could be welded closed. Otherwise, check starter relay in fuse compartment under hood on driver side wheelwell. Do a search for Chrysler T&C starter to find info to check validity of relay. I doubt the problem is with the starter, or the relay. The heavy power runs through the solenoid, energized by the relay.

what would make starter keep turning starter on aaafter turn key off had to take loose battery cable and when you touch cable to battery pole with key off & off starter runs without turning key ???

I just wanted to say thanks for doing this video!! It was so helpful when working on my 2004 T&C. I had to take my tablet out with me and rewind and watch the clip again and again but it all went together really well!! Really appreciated the help!!

Thanks so much, that dang grounding nut had me thrown for a loop. You sir are a gentleman and a scholar for posting this! (ps thanks for the laughs!)

Michael Bailey says:

That thing came right out! THANK YOU! Saved my night! Now I have time for dinner. Mine is killing the battery too but not fried like yours. I will have to check and see if I have another drain when I put the new one back in. LOVE your video! Very funny and informative!

Michael Bailey says:

Thank you so much!!! I was about to take a sledge hammer to my van! That grounding lug hiding the real 15mm bolt had me fooled! I fell for that ol’ trick hook, hook, line, and sinker! Now I’m going back out there and take that starter off!
