That should work. Hey when this happened to my Mazda I went to the salvage
and got one. As long as it penetrated it will be OK. It sounds like to me I
have a lot more control with my stick welder. Looks really good though like
you fixed it.

That swaybar was bent up when I bought the car. I think some idiot jacked
the car up on it.
Looks like a poor design right from the factory.
