Hey everyone, it’s Chris here, and today we’re diving straight into an incredible project – breathing new life into this stunning 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. This beauty has a small block Chevy under the hood, and it’s about time we gave it some much-needed TLC!
🔧 ENGINE REBUILD: Now, let’s talk about this engine! We’ve got a 327 small block Chevy that we’re completely rebuilding. It’s been bored 40 over, line bored, and received new cam bearings. We’re adding in h-beam rods and some high-quality flat-top pistons. Oh, and did I mention the 480 lift cam? This thing’s going to be a beast! We’re doing the whole rebuild on a stand, so you’ll get a detailed look at everything. The heads on this bad boy are not the best, but they’ll do for now. We’ll look into upgrading those later on.
🚗 TRANSMISSION TROUBLESHOOT: So, the Turbo 350 transmission on this Camaro has a little hiccup. It goes from first to second gear like a dream but doesn’t seem to have a third gear. I’m going to crack it open and do some detective work. And hey, if any of you car geniuses out there have an idea of what’s going on here, please let me know in the comments!
🔥 UPCOMING UPGRADES: This project is just getting started! We’ll be throwing in a 2800 to 3200 stall converter, and let me tell you, it’s going to wake up this Camaro like you wouldn’t believe. I’m already excited about our first cruise once everything is put together!
